Help - Can't tutor sims or not showing properly in skill log
« on: December 31, 2009, 09:54:54 AM »
Not sure what I'm doing wrong so advice would be appreciated.

I have an adult sim with high logic (level 7 or 8 ).  She has invited a teen over (originally for a ranked chess game) and after beating the teen I clicked to do some socialising and found an option to 'tutor sim'.  At this point they were both still sitting at the chess table but not playing.  I let the tutoring go on for some time (several game hours) then cancelled it, expecting to find an update in the skill log but nothing.  No sims tutored, no hours spent tutoring children >:(  .

Help please or I'll never finish the 'Max Skills' challenge.  (Don't worry Metro and PJ, your scores are looking quite safe :))

Try doing the tutoring again when they aren't sitting down.  I've found that when you try to do an action or conversation while sitting, they don't do it.  I think it might be a new bug, but it should work if you've got them standing.  The tutoring interaction will have both of them sitting on the floor/ground, much like when helping with homework.
