Opportunities

If I decline a opportunity, will it show up again later, or will it be gone?
I couldn't find it anywhere so I thought to ask it here.

Opportunities will pop up again if you decline them.

Welcome jg. :)

Metro is right but it can take a very long time.

There's a lot of randomness involved but you can increase your chances of getting specific skill opportunities. For example if you want a gardening opportunity, have your Sim do a lot of gardening and not much else and it will be more likely to come up again.

Just to be sure: One specific opportunity can popup again if I declined it before?

Yes. Well, I can't give you an ironclad guarantee that's the case for ALL opportunities in the game. But, I've definitely had some come up multiple times. There may be a few that are one-shot deals. I don't know.
