Meet Samuel Hauptman, he's not a normal sim by any means. Oh sure, he has normal traits, looks normal and typically acts normal as well. But Samuel, he's hiding a dark secret that he's tried avoiding for many years.

You see, Samuel was born into a family that is filled with Immortals. He grew up knowing exactly what his destiny would be and exactly who he would share his life with. As he grew into his teen years he decided that his families path was not his own. He would do anything to escape that reality for himself and so when he became a young adult, he did just that. Samuel had been saving up a small amount of money while he was a teen so he could move, he figured in a new town he could start his own life and leave his past behind.

Samuel moved to Sunset Valley and purchased a decently sized piece of land at 15 Summer Hill Court. As he was out checking out fishing spots throughout town a sim caught his eye. She looked so sad and he couldn't understand why when he looked in her eyes, he could still see so much life there. One day Samuel got up the nerve to go to her house and introduce himself. Immediately she became defensive and insinuated that Samuel was just there to dig for dirt on the young widow.

Her name was Agnes and her husband had died in a tragic science experiment. She was left with everything she could ever want materialistically but all she felt she'd gained was a broken heart, numerous suitors after her wealth and she'd also become the towns local gossip of choice.

Samuel quickly assured her that he wasn't after her money, he only wanted to get to know her, not her past.

After a few hours of talking, Samuel mentioned to Agnes that he'd recently moved into town and knew nothing of the people who lived there. He carefully explained that he was trying to avoid a life he felt was not meant for him without giving away too many details. He was sure if he told her everything she would throw him out of her house without thinking twice. As they started talking about what they wanted for their futures Agnes became defensive again, she told Samuel that she never wanted to be left broken hearted and had no intentions of getting involved with anyone again.

Samuel had grown quite fond of Agnes in the short amount of time they'd spent together. He felt if he was ever to have any chance with her he had to be honest about his intentions. He told her how he had been watching her for days now but was too scared to introduce himself. As he was watching for her reaction, some of the sorrow in her eyes lifted and she began to smile which made Samuel feel very shy.

After purchasing his new property Samuel found himself to be a bit short on cash and the few locals he ran into mentioned that he should stay at the firehouse. Samuel felt that he was imposing on the crew that worked there so, he spent most of his days fishing and exploring the local waters for new fishing spots. One night after coming back from one of his exploring trips his phone started ringing. After looking at the caller id, he wasted no time in answering, even though he was in the bathroom.

He couldn't believe Agnes was calling him! After he'd left her house a few days ago he decided to give her some space so she wouldn't feel he was pressuring her into anything. They made plans to spend the next day together and as he hung up his phone, Samuel started fearing that his past was coming back to haunt him. Agnes expressed how she never wanted to be left broken hearted again and Samuel could fulfill that desire for her if he gave into what he'd so desperately ran away from.

The next day Samuel had made up his mind, he wanted to be with Agnes and he would do anything to give her the happy life she'd had taken away from her. As soon as he got to her house he told her how he felt about her and that he wanted to spend the rest of her life with her. For Agnes those were the words she'd always wanted to hear, the rest of her life.

After accepting Samuel's proposal Agnes felt they shouldn't wait too long to start their life. She explained how she always wanted to get married at the beach with no one around. Samuel agreed and asked her if she wanted to get married that night. Agnes was ecstatic, Samuel wanted to give her everything she wanted with no questions asked.

That night they headed down to the beach to say their vows. Samuel had found the perfect spot the day before while he'd been fishing and knew no one would interrupt their private moment.

*Note I did try to get a shot of them sealing their vows with a kiss but for some reason the way they were standing was uneven and she ended up kissing his neck and he kissed her forehead.*

This is the plan I have set so far for Samuel.

Welcome to our Forum, Enchanted!

I'm glad you've joined and started a Dynasty.  It looks like you've got a solid start and it's very nicely written.  Are you going for the Hall of Fame by sticking with the rules, or is this a "loose" Dynasty?  Either way, good luck and have fun!

Thanks Pam! I'm sticking with the rules that Metro has posted. I've never played a sim household this way so it'll be interesting to see if I actually achieve the set goals.

Agnes' Not So Secret Surprise

The days after our wedding went by in a blur. We moved into our house which was huge, but lacking the normal comforts a house needs. When I asked Samuel why we needed such a big house, he just shrugged his shoulder and said we'd grow into it. I spend most of my time working on paintings to try and bring in some income.

Samuel is hardly home anymore. He spends most of his time fishing which is great in the long run, I just wish our home wasn't so quiet.

One night I was feeling pretty restless, my back was aching and I couldn't sleep for anything. Samuel and I had only woohooed once since our wedding, could it possibly be that we have a baby on the way? I've always longed for a child but I'm afraid to mention it so soon into our marriage. Sure enough, after a quick visit to the hospital they confirmed that we were expecting. How will I ever explain to Samuel that we're adding a new family member so soon and with such little income being brought in?

I continued to go about my normal routine of painting without saying anything to Samuel about our child. Maybe by the time I start to show our home will be a bit more stable. Hopefully Samuel doesn't think my new clothing style is a bit odd and I can approach him on the subject of children.

Samuel didn't fall for my act at all, as soon as I brought up children he started grinning and asked if we already had one on the way. I didn't have the heart to tell him I'd been keeping a secret from him so I told him I'd just found out that morning.

I'm quite sure that Samuel will be a wonderful father, he's been a wonderful husband even though he's always out fishing. Hopefully, with the baby on the way things will balance out before our lives are changed forever.

My pregnancy went by fast, I don't know if it was from my anticipation on finally having the child I've always wanted or if my nerves just made everything seem like it was on fast forward. One night I was sitting there reading up on baby books and the labor pains started, naturally I was home alone. I called a taxi to take me to the hopsital and called Samuel after. This time he was out fishing at Stoney Falls, it's so far from the hospital that he barely made it before the baby was born.

Quite a crowd had gathered outside the hospital, I didn't think that I'd yelled that loudly but surely they weren't there just for the gossip. Either way, I now have Bran to focus my attention on. Bran is artistic and insane, my pregnancy was smooth and I did everything right but I'm genuinely concerned about his future. I guess we'll have to see how he develops as a child and if his insanity is overwhelming.

Samuel was very cautious the first time he held Bran, I told him he was just being silly and it would come to him naturally the more time he spent with his son.

A few late night feedings later and Samuel looks like he was born to be a father.

It really warms my heart to see him so attentive to his son. I feel like I've finally found my place in this world after all the heartache my past held. I wonder if more children are how Samuel plans to fill our too huge house?

Samuel's Pride And Joy

The night after Bran was born it was time for my adult birthday, the days sure have flown by since Agnes and I were married. If you would have told me a week before our marriage that I'd be living the life I have now, I'd have told you to stop taking the red and blue experiment pills.

A few days later Agnes and I were celebrating little Bran's toddler birthday. We'd both decided that we just wanted a small family party rather then having a bunch of strangers we weren't comfortable with in our house. Personally, I think Agnes was just concerned about what people would say since our house is still pretty barren.

Bran grew in a strapping young man. So far his being insane hasn't had an impact, only time will tell as he learns to walk and talk.

After one of my fishing trips up at Stoney Falls, I made a quick stop at the book store to buy Bran some toddler advancement books. Since he was born artistic I bought up everything that could help him along that path.

Agnes has had her hands full lately with attempting to potty train Bran. She said each time she gets a chance to let of some steam painting he's tugging on her pants wanting attention.

Most of the time though Bran is pretty content with playing with his toys in the toy box. He seems to prefer his cars over any of the other toys we've bought for him.

One night I decided it was time for Bran to learn how to talk. He's stubborn little thing, each time I tried to teach him anything other than how to say butterfly he'd go off in his own world. As you can tell from the look on my face, I wasn't too impressed. I just hope he gets other words down as well as he has with saying butterfly.

Agnes decided that she wanted to be the one to teach Bran to walk. He took to walking better than anything else we've taught him so far. I wonder if Agnes regrets teaching him since he can chase her down a lot faster now!

A few nights later and it was time for Bran's child birthday. Agnes and I couldn't be prouder of our little man. Again we opted for a family party, I'm really getting worried that Agnes is secluding herself from the world. It's great that she's focusing so much on Brans development but she needs more than just that.

This birthday Bran acquired another trait and ended up with perfectionist, I think he gets that from Agnes with all the painting he's watched her doing.

One morning before Bran was off to school, I came out of the bedroom to find him eating his breakfast in his formal clothing. If this is the only outcome of his being insane then I'll gladly accept it.

That same night Agnes informed us that it was her elder birthday, so much time has past and she's still avoiding anything other than our home life.

I don't think she quite got what she wished for because she immediately ran to the bathroom to dye her hair and change her cloths.

We spent the rest of the night watching movies together as a family until Bran fell asleep and had to be carried to his room. Agnes and I went to bed soon after but as soon as we got into bed, our home alarm system went off. We all ran out to the living room to find we were being robbed! Poor Bran didn't take this too well and started choking himself. At least things aren't as quiet in our house as they used to be. Eventually we calmed Bran down enough to get him back into bed as the police assessed the stolen items from our home.
