I had that happen to me too, I kept clicking on different buttons until it went away.  I am sorry I can't remember which one I clicked on though it is one of the ones that is not covered by the learn more box.  But maybe there is a button you haven't tried clicking on.  Good luck.

I also sent a question to EA support which gave me an automated answer that I will get an answer.... - but I don't expect much from them...

I had saved my game in during the tutorial.  I just went back to play it (finally, I have not had time since I bought it) and the learn more screen popped back up.  I have a feeling my first game is bugged and I am going to start a new one.  I will edit this post if it happens again.  Hopefully it won't. 

My first impressions so far are not impressed.  My first game, which is still in the tutorial, is bugged.  Hopefully when I start a new game it will run smoother and I will not have the same issue.  But the graphics are awesome.  It is very pretty to look at.  Now I am off to play!

My first impressions are not all that good because it stops with "Monarch needed" and a box saying "the monarch sim is a Hero Sim that you need to play the game blah blah" with a "Learn More" button underneath. I press the button, go through the "learning", close it and - I'm back.... It does not continue - all I can do is press "Learn More" to go through learning again, or press the "..." menu button to save (??), options, quit....  ???



Another dumn question.  You say you kept hitting the "learn more" tab, but in that little information box, it says click on the green tab to learn more about the kingdom and click on add Monarch, or something to that effect.  I remember that box when I first started the game and I clicked on the green castle icon or kingdom, whichever it is and it took me to the place I needed to make my monarch.  Good luck though. :)

Salty's right.  After going through the lesson, you have to click the green icon on the castle to continue.

My first game was bugged.  I got the learn more screen to go away, by doing what Salty said, but when I went back to watcher view (or kingdom view? don't know which is which yet), it came back.  So I went to my throne room, it vanished again, but none of the controls worked when I clicked on them with my mouse.  So I scrapped it.  I started a new game and I am loving it!  Not having any of the issues like I was in my first game.  Like before the graphics are amazing, the story line is fun.  I just built my first building (yes I am a slow player).  I really enjoy putting people in the stocks and throwing eggs. :)  Can't wait to play more tonight.

The looks of the Sims take some getting used to.  I guess this is what it felt like for players who played Sims 2 and then started Sims 3.  They are still Sims, but they look much different.

Just got my game tonight and played through it until I leveled up my Kingdom to level 2. Now, I need to place a building, so I chose the Wizard's Tower and created a Wizard hero. Puts me in Furnish (Build/Buy) mode. I remember something either from the tutorial or the Lessons that you have to have basic needs met before it will allow you to switch to Live mode, but for the life of me I can't remember what. I put in a bed, but what else is needed?

I'm a long time RPG fan (started with the original Wizardry series, Ultima, Bard's Tale, etc.). I'm having a lot of fun with this. Once I get past my little stumbling block above, I think I'll enjoy the game quite a bit. :)

Just got my Jacoban priest!

Having loads of fun, encountered what seemed like a small bug.  I was doing the Fur quest with the blacksmith doing the traps approach.  I made one trap early on the first day of that quest and didn't do another until the second day hoping to slow it down and shoot for my second platinum quest.  However by day two it started saying i was behind and it kept saying i was behind on my quest no matter what I did to move it along until toward the end of the quest, so I just finished it on silver.

Tomorrow I will be starting my first duo quest with my Jacoban priest and my blacksmith I can't wait t osee how that goes.

I figured it out, though it was a little counter-intuitive. Once you place the furniture you want, you have to click on Kingdom mode then click the Quest button to select a quest. Then you can get to Live mode. Now I can get somewhere! :D

 Oh my goodness... too too funny. Uncouth peasants farting and burping, whales and anger management issues, doctors pulling out tongues to make a diagnoses. I am sitting here wetting myself laughing at all the funny bits while my kids are looking at me like I am some sort of weirdo. So I attempt to explain it to them but I can't as I am now crying with tears rolling down my face.
   I am glad though that I have actually played the game a little otherwise I do believe I would think all of you funny people are mildly crazy as well.
 I am totally enjoying this game so far except I am not so great at working out what my hero has to do. For example I am currently doing the marriage quest and my hero, the bard, has to ask his friend, the physician to be best man. That's the easy part. Where I lost it was in the daily tasks for the doctor you have to medicate x amount of people on the operating table. The doctor diagnoses then goes to the operating table but the sick sim runs away! Anyway I am loving it!

Bard's Tale!  OMG I LOVED that game!

You need a place to cook and something to sit on.  They don't always sit at the table to eat.  I put in a pantry, (refrigerator to us), or maybe it's called a larder, because eventually you should have a place to grab stuff from when you want to eat.  Also, there is a never ending supply of gruel which fills the tummy but gives you a negative buff.  (bad moodlet)  I also added a chamber pot if there wasn't one and a basin to wash in.  Tubs take up too much space so only my monarch has one and everybody uses it once in awhile.
What?  Grannies can't play games?

You don't need a bed with the wizard, click on the sim and they meditate and that is how their energy goes up.  You don't have to decorate when that comes up.  When you add a sim to the different professions, it just gives you that option, but they have everything they need from the start anyway. :)

Wow, their energy meter goes up when meditating?! Lol I gotta get this game now. The salesman promised to deliver the game by Monday. Jeez, 3 more days!  :-[
