Sorry to say, I've already shelved TSM. The thing I really like about the Sims franchise is that there always seems to be something new to try or do. I'm very much a "been there, done that" person and after completing my second kingdom I found TSM to be very tedious. WA is probably my least favorite EP and TSM reminds me a lot of that. I tend to get bored with Sims game play about a month before the next EP comes out because I've explored the new possibilities, skills and items of the last EP. The thing that keeps me interested at that point is the ability to edit towns, build new homes and put my Sims in "new to me" situations. I love the art in TSM, the clothing, the general feel of the game but it just has not been able to hold my interest.

I'll probably go back to it occasionally but overall I'm a little disappointed.

I only got the game yesterday and played for 2 or so hours. Short time for me, but that was a great game!
Personally I like the Quest aspect, as after a sim had completed his/her LTW in Sims 3, then it was like, O.K, I've got nothing to work for, this person is elated, and has a load of LTHP. What now?

The only bad thing about the game is Responsibilities. I'm not a multi-tasker person, so that's generally something that my sims are too. I do accept them when possible, but it gets too hard sometimes.

It's a very easy game to play (in some aspects), and I love the Questing element (I said that earlier, didn't I) because it constantly gives a sim something to strive for.

FF's are awesome, but they are hard to pick. And cool to switch. My nice monarch had a TestingCheats switch (;)) and became Evil, Greedy and her FF became Cruel.

It's a cool game. I love it and I'm still on the First Ambition. I've played it for 2 hours. Still, it's awesome.

I found Medieval a big FAIL! I played Sims 3 because of the sandbox mode. I don't want to be forced to do quests to get better stuff. I'd like to make my king hunt, gather stuff and every other thing I want without having to worry about the passing time. I've played this game  for 3h and decided to delete it. I won't play it until Maxis comes out with the ability of freeplay. Until then - no thank you! I'll stick to Nightlife.

OK, I feel stupid now. Maxis released a patch allowing freeplay :) Time to get back to Medieval and do what I want and when I want :) It's a quite entertaining game to be honest :) Too bad I deleted my king who kind of looked like Ludacris XD

There's a new patch? When did that happen and what does it allow you to do now?

I also found it on the EA Medieval forum.

I'll give TSM another chance when this happens.

@Monolito
I think you can freeplay when you complete an ambition - you get the opportunity to either move on with a hero or free play in that kingdom.
I haven't seen this ingame (I'm on the New Begginings Ambition), but it was posted in another thread by Schipperke.

That's right, Seabody.  Any time you complete any of the Ambitions, you can choose Free time to just play with your sims without doing quests.  You also have the choice to take one of your sims to the next Ambition - that's the Brave New World option.
