Hello, dear readers,

This has been posted to all my stories except Meet the Pieces. Unfortunately, I am having a hard time in my life. School and exams are devouring all my free time. Thus, I have less than six hours of playtime a week. I literally play at the speed of light to fulfill the update plots. I don’t manage to even have fun.  Excuse me, but I have to put five of my stories on hold (The Memoirs of Laura Fearless will be updated today, while LIS(V)A will be updated tomorrow). At least until May 15th. The only story that will be updated, and even often, is my unofficial dynasty, Meet the Pieces. I am looking forward to finishing that story as soon as possible. I appreciate your interest in my other stories, but sorry, I have no time. Instead, you can read the Pieces Dynasty!  You can read it here and comment as well. Thank you.

Cheers,

Chronic.

The Memoirs of Laura Fearless, Part 8
The Kids Don't Stand a Chance

Nothing special occurred to our family in the last few days. Kids have been improving their skills, while I have been behaving like an anxious stay at home Mum, preparing meals, and living my own life. Let's start out with Jackson. He has been stargazing for the last few hours. The boy is a Genius. He loves Logic, everything logical. I wish we had enough money for a chess set, they're so overly expensive...

My darling Anna has been painting passionately. The kid loves to paint, what can I do? Her creations are getting better and better, in time I'll be proud of her, I'm sure. That just makes me smile.

Little Clarice is writing. All the time, non-stop. I asked her what she's working on right now. Her answer was "detectives". My God, she's just nine and she writes detective books! That's my girl. She's very brave as well. Love her.

Leo is playing. Yet, with a very clever toy. Look, he made a house! I think he likes it.

But then again, he can do better. Thus, he smashes that building and creates a new one! Vroom!

A bit about me now. My bump is huge now. I am trying to hide it from everyone, but nope, doesn't help. They already know everything. Clarice is like BBC. There's nothing she doesn't know. Miss Curious Number One.

Late night, and as always, I go to collect the laundry. Ah, that smell! Oops, my hand gets stuck in that t-shirt and I can't get it out! Must be glue.

A meal for tomorrow won't hurt. I love Mac and Cheese. Mum used to cook it for me when I was a child. Now, I'll cook for my children. I am all positive. Yummy!

Then adding a bit of salt, otherwise it won't be tasty.

Oh no, it burnt! Help! Help! Kids, don't you wake up! Please.

Oh, they are not asleep yet... Leo was the last one going to bed. He left all his thoughts about Logic behind, and is now dreaming of sleeping.

There's little Clarice. She's still thinking about her books.

I don't know why, but lil' Anna has been is dreaming of cooking. Must have seen me the other day, cooking.

As usual, Leo is dreaming of famous composers, music and such. He's such a virtuoso!

Then it's me, doing laundry. Sheesh, so many dirty clothes! That machine won't take it.

Lastly, I phone the Adoption Agency. Once again, I ask to speak with Chris, my lost child, but no, they refuse me. I really want to celebrate his birthday, really. I do. But they won't allow me. Why..?

The Memoirs of Laura Fearless, Part 9
Welcoming Nicholas

Hours have flown like seconds. The sun came out just a couple of minutes ago, but I'm already awake. It's the last day of the working week - Friday. No wonder it's the most complicated day in the whole week. First, it's toilet breaking...

Then comes the breakfast. Unfortunately, we have only leftover cake, which tastes a bit strange, by the way... Me and Clarice sit down to eat, have a nice chat, while others are sleeping.

They have the right, though. I decided that it would be too much fuss sending them to school. They will be homeschooled.
Back on topic, as we finish eating, I wash the dishes, while Clarice decides to help me, and cleans after others (they woke up soon after) as well.

Suddenly, I feel a terrible pain. Pain in the stomach. Pain everywhere. I know what's it.

I quickly call the taxi cab, sit down carefully and tell to the taxi driver the destination - hospital. And quick. Very quick.

Hours later, after many procedures, I come out relieved, in a calmed state. Holding a bundle of joy - my baby boy. He shall be called Nicholas. He is Nicholas. Nicholas Fearless.

Of course, lots of curious eyes and many paparazzies can't wait to photograph the world-renown poor girl, Laura Fearless. To stay unnoticed, I run as quickly as I can. My eyes look down, because I am once again very embarrassed. For the seventh time in a row.

But, but, I can't be mad. I should be happy. Happy to have a big family around me. Even if everything is not like I would want, life is great. Great in a very special way. Great in the Nicholas way!

I put him in his crib and get ready to tell kids about it.

All of sudden, Clarice enters the room and speaks:

- Hey, Mum. Who's that? A nooboo?
- Yeah... See, he's Nick, your brother.
- Oh wow! I knew about your pregnancy since the first minute, so no surprises for this girl. He's such a cutie!
- He is your brother, I hope you get along well, my girl. I am so proud of you.
- Hey, thanks, Mum. Me too. Let's hug.
And we hugged.

I once again phoned the Adoption Agency. All the same. That's not right, if you ask me. Not my fault...

Okay, I must be very unlucky... But, wait. No, I am not a loser. I am very lucky. Lucky to have my kids around. And that I am still alive. I survived through all that. Do you believe in life after love? I do...

Yeah, that would explain it  :D It's just not a common name where I live...In fact if sims count as people, then Nicholas Fearless is only the second person I've met with that name :P

If Sims count as people, this is only the 3rd I've met. (this one, Nick Alto, and a classmate)

I wanted to name him Nick, but Nicholas suits this tragedy better. ;)

Ah, I don't treat Nick and Nicholas as the same name really. Probably something my dad has drummed into me. We don't really use nicknames. I'm Emily, never Em, for example.  :)
