So... when're you going to do the actual experiment? So far all we've been doing is talking about ugly sims. :-\

It would be pretty funny if we ended up with a pretty Sim after all that.

It would, but it could happen! I may have to try this myself to see what I come up with.

I second having Jack and Judy Bunch. And of course Cora Francisco.

Jack and Judy clean up nicely with a differnet haircut and some wait loss. And Masie I-Don't-Remeber-Her-Last-Name isn't too pretty (it's the eyes and her mole), she's in Appalsoonen Plains. Their might be some good sims in AP too.

However I have consistently seen Jack and Judy Bunch create very ugly children, especially Jack's nose and Judy's face shape. And I don't think that they clean up all that nicely - I don't like the face shape that Judy's loss of weight reveals, and her other features aren't great either.

I would be happy for Castaras to try if Hosfac won't carry it out as seems likely now.

Well, I had a quick mess around - don't have quite enough townies for the experiment right now, and while looking through some of the townies currently listed I honestly didn't think they were particularly unattractive (Elaine Joy is the one that springs to mind - she looks stern but not ugly on the level of some of the others...). I did some very quick and dirty genetics creation with the following 8 sims:

Arlo Bunch (Sunset Valley)
Tay Bayless (Twinbrook)
Harwood Clay (Twinbrook - not seen him before, on seeing him I burst out laughing at his amazing lips :P)
Girbits Worthington (Starlight Shores)

Vita Alto (Sunset Valley)
Elaine Joy (Riverview)
Yvette Grisby (Riverview - in my opinion, the mother's a tad more ugly than the daughter)
Hetty Lionheart (Appaloosa Plains)

The results are below - note that all the original townies are aged up/down to either Young Adult or Adult, and all the new generations are Young Adult.

As I said previously - Elaine Joy isn't that bad. Tay is pretty darn ugly unfortunately. The daughter isn't too bad looking, but I wouldn't want her chin and nose combination - she looks like an Adult as a Young Adult as well...

The two newcomers to the list - I remembered them from my games and decided to mess with them. This guy is rather average ugliness. Wouldn't want him in a legacy, but wouldn't be that hurt by his children.

Now this girl is a wonderful wonderful character. I wasn't planning on saving any of these experiments, but this girl is definitely going into my bin for a brush up on her clothes - although to be fair, the victorian shirt (store content) I think suits her very nicely. Going for Acting Career, maybe? She certainly has the look of a character actor.

Oh Arlo. You seem to have given your son most of your features, and taken Yvette's ears along with. You and your overly strong genetics...

And now we come to third generation children. You can really see the Grisby and Bunch in her. Not very much from the Joy/Bayless side, however. Rather unattractive in a plain, boring way in my humble opinion.

Very nice eye colour. Pity about the Hetty Lionheart eyes. Didn't seem to inherit the lips - probably a good thing, I have a suspicion those sort of lips look a little better on the girls.

And finally, we took our third gen children and made a male and female final result.

Arlo is still going very strong in the guy, and Hetty seems strong in the female. She seems to have the cheekbones of the Alto/Clay child.

So yes! More suggestions on ugly townies would be awesome, and I'll see how many crazy townies I can create. I'll save all the new people I created above, in case anyone wants to see what they can do to clean them up. I don't have Lucky Palms so I can't include any sims from there, and my copy of Barnacle Bay refuses to work (need to do a clean reinstall of everything at some point in the future).

Sadly enough, Harwood Clay's daughter with Vita is one of the best kids I've seen him produce. The kids I made him have with Molly Coddle almost blinded me with such abominable ugliness.

I also burst out laughing at Arlo and Yvette's son. I need to see more of this ugly townie spawn.
