Children Born to Original Townies - Sims 3

I couldn't help giving them new hair - Amelia was bald, and Autumn's long hair didn't seem to go with her face. Other than that, I left them as is. I think they both look like pretty cool girls.

They look identical except for hair and eye color.  Where did the purple eyes come from?

Yes, I believe they are twins (at least, they are both teens) and one got her mother's hair and the other her father's. I think the violet eyes must be a random mutation because neither of the parents have them -- unless that's somewhere in the Bunch or Alvi genetics, I don't play with townies all that often so I'm not all that familiar with them.

VJ only has a father in game and not a mother, so the violet eyes could be a random mutation in the place of VJ's mom, since Iqbal, Jack, and Judy don't have that.

Sims can get random eye colors even if they have a full set of grandparents. It was probably the game running its numbers and deciding that Amelia needed a random eye color, and it grabbed purple.

Purple eyes are cool and all, but I prefer VJ's coloring and Autumn looks great with it.

This is the first heir of my DecaDynasty, the daughter of Billy Caspian and Elaine Joy Caspian. Blond hair?

This is her younger sister. And I thought blond hair was odd.

Maybe Elaine's parents were blond when they were younger? Anyways, it looks like Elaine's genes prevailed in that generation. I like the younger one better; her heavier build softens Elaine's face and it works well.

I don't know about Norman being a blonde but I do know Jenny Joy has that purple hair as I peeked at her Ghost once in CAS once using Master Controller, I was quite surprised when I saw it, I thought she'd be grey being an elderly ghost.

I was basically being nosy because Twallans story progression had married her to Jon Lesson and their kids had purple streaky hair, made me wonder where it came from.

Well, even if you hide your questionable decisions about hair dye when you get old, your grandchildren won't forget it. Maybe the developers got really bored with everyone being brunette or blond.

Such awfulness does not result from boredom, or at least I hope. I like to believe that they simply messed up creating dirty blond. They can't be evil enough to deliberately make that the hair color for half of generated townies and kids born with random hair colors. Right?
