Children Born to Original Townies - Sims 3

Any hair color saved as a preset has the possibility of popping up on a sim as a random "mutation" (quotes because mutations don't actually work like that, but whatever). I've had two blond parents have black-haired children, for instance.

Well, genetic are not always about parents. What about the grandparents? any of them had black hair?

The majority of original townies don't have parents in town, so there would be no grandparents most of the time.

The parents in question either had no parents, or a blond mother and a brown-haired father, neither of whom had parents of their own. No black hair in sight on the family tree. And I've seen in happen many times. Random hair colors are a part of the code.

My first foray into Hidden Springs has produced some interesting results so far:



Wyatt Mendoza, son of Hector Mendoza and Astrid Pertridge. He looks pretty much identical to his mother from what I can tell.



Jered Colby, son of Christoff and Genevieve Colby. Seems to be mostly his father's son. Not bad looking, really.



Kellie Riverhawk, daughter of Nicholas Riverhawk and Francisca Vanderburg. Mostly Nicholas with Francisca's face shape...?



And her cousin Lucas Vanderburg, son of Sebastian Vanderburg and Ella Carlisle. Mostly Ella, minus the eyes.

Marty and Victoria had yet another child (Fidel Keaton) but I imagine people are tired of pairings like that so I decided not to post the picture.

I think that Shelton would look great if he didn't have gray hair!

Aw, Shelton is cute! It's actually fairly common for Gobias and Tori to get together via Story Progression, at least in my games, and this guy has to be one of the more handsome results.

I've had mixed luck with the other two pairings. Ethan and Holly can produce some lovely children...though I've found that the issue with the lips being too close to the nose is relatively common. With Morty and Bella I've found that their features don't always mix well either . Anastasia isn't bad looking, just she looks very...depressed.

Really? I forget who Tori always gets together with. Usually both stay single. I just don't like the "old" look.

Ethan and Holly have gotten together a lot in my game and I haven't seen an attractive child out of them yet.

I'm glad that Morty and Bella got together for storyline purposes, but I agree--they always have big eyes and weird faces. :/

Rachel Hatch - Daughter of Emma and Boyd Wainwright. She favors Emma in looks with Boyd's hair color.


Her brother Thad is mostly Boyd but his features are a bit softer.

Rosenwyn Rodel, daughter of Sophie Dwyer from DV and Doug Rodel from IP:



My sister laughed out loud and said she was ugly. I couldn't say she isn't, but I think she might be able to be saved with careful makeover.

Raja Gallgher, son of Cara Gallgher from DV and Rajan Patel from IP:



Nearly 100% Cara, except he has darker skin.

Cara is now pregnant by Phillip Han, and I'll show the baby here when he or she is born.

Serenity, Rosenwyn isn't ugly like your sister said. Her face is a little long, but that probably comes from her dad. She has inherited some rather lovely features from Doug though, especially her eyes.

@ Kake - Sosie is just adorable! I had a girl from that pairing look very similar, except she had Holly's hair color instead of the blonde.
