My Sims had Triplets!
« on: March 20, 2011, 09:49:20 PM »
I have never had triplets in a game before.  Today luckily my Flowers family had three new baby girls, Pansy, Daisy, and Poppy.

This is how I did it:

Step 1 - Both parents (young adults) had fertility treatments
Step 2 - Romance
Step 3 - Didn't eat any watermelons, or apples
Step 4 - I put stereos and TVs set to kids channels in every room the mom sat in
Step 5 - Had mom read both baby books in the rooms with the stereos and TVs on kids channels
Step 6 - Had mom relax, and dad do everything, especially the stinky jobs
Step 7 - Waited four Sims days, and got her to the hospital as fast as as the taxi could go!    ;D

The only thing that really influences twins and triplets is the Fertility Treatments and the kid's stations on the television and radio, and doing all 3 is sort of akin to swatting a fly with a sledgehammer.  I just accidentally got triplets during an experiment by only listening to the radio (I was trying for twins lol).  Also, if you know a doctor, you can have mixed gender twins and triplets by using watermelon and apples.  The good mood you kept her in by way of resting and reading the books helped to make sure you were able to pick all of their traits (which I assume you were able to?).

Congratulations on the super-sized bundle of joy, and I wish you the best of luck in the raising them...triplets are a handful!  Several hand fulls.  :P  And welcome to the forums, too!

Thank you for the welcome.  :)

Close!  I got to choose one trait for each baby. ;)

Plus I just added pictures, I hope you like my little family of inventors.   ;D

Congratulations! :)
I love playing games with triplets. At the moment I'm doing the dynasty challenge, but when I'm playing other games I often fill the house up with a few sets of triplets and/or twins.

I always get triplets if both parents have fertility treatment (unless the house has 6-7 people in it - then the game gives out however many free spaces you have left).

Twins I can handle.  Triplets are a lot like work lol.  It wouldn't be so bad if I could keep them on a schedule but that's almost impossible for me.  At one point, I had all their needs synchronized.  They all went to sleep at the same time, woke up at the same time, got hungry at the same time, needed diaper changes at the same time, and one parent could just go down the line and feed/snuggle/change them assembly line style.  But all it took was dear old dad to come in while they were sleeping and wake one of them up to play with it.  After that, the wheels just fell off the wagon lol.

The best thing about triplets is toddler races!!  I once had two sets of triplets and recorded them having toddler races.  Here's a link to the Toddler Races thread and one directly to the video on Facebook.

Wow, triplets... Altough they look cool, I've never played a game with them. I think I just am not ready enough for it. :P One child is more than enough for me to handle in game. But the radio and television influences the amount of children you got? I wasn't aware of that. Or wait, the child TV programs and radio child channel of course. Yes, that seems to tricker this kind of things.

It's the TV more than the radio, in my tests.  But yes, they help your Sim have multiple births.

I've never had my sims watch the kids TV show, but have had triplets many times by listening to the Kids radio station.

How many inventors do you have in that family, and are the nooboos going be inventors too?

Do one of the parents have "surrounded by family" as a life time wish?  How many people in the family are inventors?

Just curious...  :)

I laugh out loud every time I look at that video.  My favorite part is when they all stand up and turn around in almost perfect synchronization.

My sims also had triplets! Three little baby girls. [: Although, my sims family now has quite the handful! One female child (Hailey), twin male toddlers (Landon and Thomas), and now the three female babies (Alexa, Charlotte, and Natalie)! I'm excited to see how they will grow! I've already experienced how hectic it can be! I hope Brianna and Ethan Johnson (the parents) won't get too stressed either!

Good luck with that chaos ILikeMyUsername! That sounds ridiculously intense!

When my sims got pregnant, the father wished to have a boy and the mother wanted a girl, so I was thinking I'll try to have twins - one of each(only read 2 pregnancy books, watch kidz zone and listened to kids radio) - so they both get the LTR. Unfortunately, when the babies were born, I received triplets - all of which were girls, haha. Not what I was aiming for!  :D

It was quite hectic considering how the father worked 3-9 (Culinary career) and the mother 8-2 (Business career) and they each made about 200 a day at that time.. My sims didn't get much sleep, that's for sure! I decided to challenge myself and do without a babysitter too, haha.

Thanks! Good luck to you as well!
It'll be easier when they all can do things for themselves!
