Problem with harvestables
« on: December 29, 2009, 04:23:43 PM »
Hi everyone
I'm new here and I've just started playing WA for sims 3. I've been lookin up carl's guide and it's really useful, but i seem to have run into a problem. The guide shows where the special new harvestable fruits are in each country, problem is, I can't see anything in these locations! The house in france and the island in france have nothing but houses with gardens or tombs. I've looked up the island in france and all I can see is the tomb. Where are the grapes? There are no grapes that I can harvest from at the nectary, only apples. Where have all the fruits gone? I've also had mods to make those special fruits buyable on mod the sim, but I deleted them, thinking it was that, but still not grapes or anything. What's going on? Am I not looking in the proper place? I've tried all the places indicated on the maps provided by carl's guide. Thanks.

My first suggestion is to remove all mods and possibly go as far as a reinstallation. Always remember to apply the latest patch before you begin your first game after installation. So, the order is: Vanilla install > WA install > patch up > then start a game. This saves mega problems that a lot of players have because they don't follow that simple order.

The grapes on the little island are hugging the tomb on the outer wall. The house with the garden just has a couple of fruit trees and I think the rest are just foliage for decoration. As Metro said, if they're really just not there, you might need a clean reinstall. Be sure to back up your saves located in your documents folder if you follow this route. Then, after the inconvenience of installing it you can at least jump back into the game where you left off.
