A Day in the Life of the Haystings Family

Michael

We finally made it. The move was a tough one, but we finally made it to our new house. Our old neighborhood wasn't the best there was, so we decided to scrape up enough money to buy a house.

This is my wife Isabel, she has big dreams of designing the best homes in our new neighborhood. She talks about it constantly, and when she isn't talking about it, she's working on a new sketch of something.

As for me, my dream is to be a Firefighter. My father was one, and I always thought of him as a hero that saved lives.

While Isabel took a nap in our new bed, I looked out the window thinking of our life. Even though we had two separate dreams for our lives, we shared one. After the first year of being married we started to talk about children, but then our careers picked up and we never really talked about it since.

But one night, things got out of hand, and before we could even blink...

Even though it wasn't the best time to have a baby, we were extremely happy about this baby. She wanted a little boy, while I dreamed about having a little girl. Like everyone else, we would be happy with whatever we got, because in the end he or she will love us no matter what.

The days passed on and we kept busy, I went to work while Isabel was on Maternity leave. That didn't stop her from sketching more pictures and ideas. On top of that she worked in the garden and managed to break the washer doing so many loads.

I was in the kitchen cooking Isabel some dinner because she has been eating a lot now when I heard a scream from her studio/library. I ran up to find that she had gone into labor.

"We should go to the hospital!" I panicked.

"No! I want to stay home!" She moaned in pain.

Welcome to the world, Mason...

(There's my story so far! It might not be as interesting as everyone else's but I've always wanted to share mine! Let me know what you think please! :))
There you guys go! Sorry it took so long to get bigger pictures done!

I like it! It's very nice and interesting. Two professions? Urgh, one is enough to make my head spin! Kudos to you, that's tough.

Looking forward to more! But first: did you know Carl has his own image Gallery? If you register for it you can post big pictures instead of small ones! They're much easier to see and make a story easier to follow.

You can find the thread about it here. And if you need any help feel free to drop me a PM. It's much better than the in house photo system.

Best of luck and can't wait for more!

Thank you! I've been searching and trying to find out how to make them bigger since I posted it! I thought they were just small in the preview and would be bigger after I posted! If I have any problems I know who to ask haha. I'll fix them when I figure out how to do it!

Isabel

I couldn't believe I was a mother. This little boy was depending on Michael and I to take care of him. The next couple days passed as we got used to taking care of Mason. I was changing his diaper and laying him down for his nap when I started to smell smoke, I walked over and peaked into the next room which was the study to see that it had caught fire!

"Michael!!" I screamed.

Michael stood in the doorway shocked, I had ran downstairs to call the fire department. When I came back upstairs I saw that his clothes had caught on fire.

"Michael! Your shirt!" I cried pointing to him.

He managed to get himself put out but there was one problem...

"AHHH!!!" I screamed.

"Isabel!" Michael gasped.

Michael ran over to the study with the fire extinguisher and started to put me out when the firefighters showed up...

It had been the most scary experience in my life. Knowing that the fire was spreading towards Mason's room didn't help, and knowing Michael or myself could have been hurt didn't either. Luckily the insurance company covered most of it so very little came out of our pocket.

You would think that after the fire was put out, then the firefighters would leave, well that wasn't the case with this one...

She just stood there for the longest time... Huh. Weird.

After that experience I sat down and read the paper. It was then I saw a advertisement for a trip to Egypt, the first thousand people to call in got a free round trip to Egypt. I was amazed and excited. The only bad part was that it was for a couple of months, which means I would miss a couple of months with Mason and leave Michael to take care of him.

"If you want to go, then go babe." He told me stroking my cheek lovingly.

"Are you sure?" I asked him.

"Positive. You don't get to take a free trip to Egypt everyday." He said.

And so I was off to study the pyramids in Egypt...

While studying the pyramids in Egypt I got attacked by a mummy, and since I had no experience with martial arts or fighting, I had a curse put on me. It took me a few more months to find the cure, I had to search and search for it. Thankfully I bought a lot of those showers in a can when I was at the Market. The sad part about this trip is I missed most of Mason being a baby, this trip took a lot more time then I thought it would. When I got home it was night time, and Mason was already asleep. He had grown up so much, Michael had sent letters and pictures but it wasn't the same.

Since both my husband and my son were asleep I decided to catch up on some major laundry that needed to be done.

And, I worked out...

(Another post! You guys will probably getting a lot of posts seeing as I have a lot of pictures to post because I'm further along in my game. But I'm not going to play until I get caught up with getting these pictures and story down! Glad your all enjoying it! :D)

Michael

It was unbelievably hard to have Isabel away in Egypt, but I knew she really wanted to go so I let her. It wasn't hard taking care of Mason, he was a piece of cake surprisingly. I just missed having my wife to talk to and to go to bed next too, it was also hard getting this laundry thing down...

The stupid thing kept breaking! It was a good thing I have the handy skill because it would cost a fortune to hire a mechanic every time it happened. I was glad when Isabel got home, we actually managed to get some alone time together. Little did we know that "alone time" might earn us something more then we bargained for...

But she passed it off as food poisoning from something she ate in Egypt. Meanwhile she worked on teaching little Mason how to walk. He had grown up a lot since she had been gone, and she hasn't been able to spend too much time with him. Little Mason had grown to be a toddler! A toddler with no hair I might add...

While teaching Mason to walk something that shocked and scared us happened...

Yep. Isabel is pregnant again. We hadn't planned for it to happen this fast, things just got out of hand and... Well, you know the rest.

Time passed very fast and before we even knew it, it was time.

"Oh God! Michael!" Isabel cried out from the bedroom.

She had been sleeping since her back was killing her most of the time, and I was cleaning up the house from Mason being the little toy tornado that he is when she called. I ran in the bedroom and sure enough, it was time for the baby.

She had a rough delivery, but we are proud to welcome little Emma Haystings to our family.

Emma sure was the screamer, but we managed to actually sit down and have a nice family meal. (I must not have gotten any pictures from Mason's birthday into a child! Sorry)

I was working out on our treadmill machine when Isabel broke the shower, I really have saved us a lot of money by being handy.

Our little boy really was growing up fast, he was a straight A student in school, but that didn't mean he didn't need a little help with his homework now and then.

Isabel really was getting stressed out, on top of being a mother, and trying to keep me happy and letting me go to work, she had less time to work on her career. That and her job kept giving her time off due to maternity leave. So she just worked on her sketches when ever she could.

It wasn't long before Emma decided to grow into a little toddler. It was then I decided, I didn't want to be a firefighter, I wanted to be surrounded by my family. I wanted to have kids and raise them, and take some stress off of Isabel who was struggling to hold on to her dream. Yeah, that's what I want to do with my life. I'll be my kids heros, besides, who says you aren't a hero because your aren't a firefighter?

There you guys go! Another post! A lot happened in this one! Let me know what you think please!

Isabel

When Michael told me that he didn't want to be a Firefighter any longer it didn't really surprise me any. He seemed happiest when he was at home with me and his children, he was always depressed when he had to get up in the middle of the night to go to work. The last thing he wanted to do was get up to go to work in the middle of the night and leave me and the kids at home. But on happier news, Emma is finally a toddler!

Turns out Emma didn't like her clothes, because she quickly rushed over to the dresser for a little makeover...

And then she didn't like her hair either, so she changed that too. This is the finished project!

I didn't waste any time teaching her how to walk, she seemed to be pulling herself up already so why wait?

She picked up on it very quickly! After that I left her in her room to play while I went to catch up on some much needed time with my husband.

The kids were playing quietly in Emma's room while we spent some time together, they were having a blast!

The kids seemed like they were occupied enough so we kept spending time together.

A couple weeks passed and everything was going good with everyone, and Mason decided he wanted to play some tag with his father. It was the cutest thing seeing both of them run around the house, they even ended up in the pool!

Watching them run around in circles around the house was cute, but it also made my stomach turn.

What was wrong with me?

What did you think? Good? Bad? What's with Isabel? Is Michael getting his wish of a huge family?

Very lovely story. I'm greatly enjoying it. The bit with Michael talking about his family and how he wants to be their hero was really touching. My dad's the same way so it spoke to me.

Good work and good luck!

Michael

I noticed Isabel dashing for the bathroom a lot lately, usually after meals or in the mornings. I asked her what was wrong but she said she was fine. I was taking a swim in our pool when she walked out of the house, I noticed that she changed her clothes. I climbed out of the pool and dried off the best I could before walking over to her.

"Everything okay?" I asked.

"I have some news." She said.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"I'm pregnant." She whispered watching for my reaction.

"What?! That's great!" I told her.

I knew she was worried and scared, and being pregnant meant taking more time off, but I was extremely happy. I wanted to have a bunch of kids, even though we were having them one after another. I knew after this baby Isabel was going to want a break from having kids, and I was fine with that. I was just so happy, and I knew she was deep down too.

But it was back to our every day lives after our little moment by the pool, after all our kids will never stop needing us.

Isabel decided that she was going to quit her job, I tried to talk her out of it but she wouldn't listen to me. She said that since there was a third baby on the way, there would be no way she could leave every day and leave me alone. I told her I didn't want her giving her dream up for me, but she didn't listen. She said she was just going to work from home, maybe try out being an author.

While she worked on her writing skills I decided to teach Emma how to talk.

She caught on to the whole talking thing pretty fast, my little girl was growing up.

Bills, bills, and more bills...

She definitely loves her garden...

She really is happy...

She must have felt the same way I did thinking about how fast Emma was growing, I watched from the doorway as she held Emma close.

We were just enjoying each others presence when she started to have contractions. She was a couple weeks early! I freaked out and told her we should go to the hospital, it had to be too early for the baby. But like always she refused, she had a thing with hospitals.

Everyone, this is my son, Jonathan.

"Oh Michael," Isabel whispered with tears in her eyes, "Look at him."

"Yeah, look at him." I whispered absolutely shocked at what we created.

"Oh God!" She cried out.

"What?!" I asked.

"Somethings wrong!" She gasped.

"What do you mean?!" I asked truly freaked out now.

"AHH!" She screamed in pain.

She seemed to start pushing again, what was going on?!

She looked at me so scared, we were both completely shocked. Twin boys. We weren't expecting this at all, but everyone also welcome Jordan. Jonathan and Jordan Haystings.

The new and improved nursery...

Isabel is resting now, she had a rough delivery. I'm leaning against the door frame watching her sleep while holding our surprise baby. I looked down at him and smiled touching his little nose. I stood up and walked out of the room letting Isabel sleep, I walked in the nursery and put Jordan back into his crib. I checked Jonathan before going to give Emma a kiss on the cheek, poor girl, she was the only girl. That would change someday, I thought as I made my way into Mason's room, I smiled seeing him asleep on his back with a book on race cars laying on his stomach. I took the book and set it down before pulling up the covers and shutting off the light. I smiled making my way to the bedroom to get some sleep, after all I would be awake in an hour or so with the twins.

Finally caught up with my actual game! Probably wont be playing tonight, maybe tomorrow. In the mean time, let me know what you think!
