A Couple of Questions About Glitches
« on: March 14, 2011, 06:34:03 PM »
So, my first ever game I started, I ended up moving into, I think 3 different houses.  I played past the 25 week point and had no problems at all, but started over because I wanted to make a new family.  After that 1st time playing the glitches started happening. Why would the glitches start happening after that first game?  It seems like the more new games I start, the more glitches start to happen (if that makes sense).  This last time I started over it was because I think I had the saved glitch, because it stayed on the save screen 2 or 3 times longer than usual, so I started over the diamond was still spinning though.  Did I have the saved glitch or not?

I changed the topic.  I am  sorry that you guys have to edit my posts, not to sound rude or anything, but I have told Pam twice that my coma and shift buttons do not work most of the time, but I guess she keeps forgetting that.

It's not so much that I forget, but there are a lot of people on this Forum and several moderators who try to keep up with everyone.  As mentioned on other threads, the Spell Check button will help with some of the problems.

It seems to be a form of cache problem... I have a stomach feeling that it may be a problem with earlier save files in your case then. Just a wondering: Have you tried to re-install it to see whether that solves it. And also, what glitches are we talking about? Is it just a loading/saving issue, or is it genuine bug-like glitches?

I don't think you can reinstall the ps3 version.Im pretty sure i've had the save glitch at one time. The other glitches that i've had are the inventory glitch.the mailbox glitch at one time my sims got stuck. when my sims is making food the pot or plate would just disapear but they would act like they were still holding it. my sims have gotten the disgusted moodlet that wouldn't go away.I think ive had a few more but cant think of em right now.

I've got the PS3 version and the disgusted moodlet always happens aswell as my sim not being able to click or use the computers/laptops. I always take away the disgusted moodlet with the moodlet manager but when it comes to my sim suddenly not being able to click/use the the computers/laptops there's nothing I can do. Also had some trouble with the houses loading.

When you refer to the "save glitch" is that where, when attempting to save, the game just sits there with the plumb bob spinning endlessly? That has happened to me several times... so many lost hours, bah!

Yes Quillz, that's what I meant when I was referring to the save glitch. I save every day after I get the free karma, so I didn't lose to much gameplay, but it was still annoying having to start all over again.

The first time it happened to me was after weeks of Sim time!
We lost uncounted promotions, wishes and skill-ups (not to mention two kids and major renovations)... I had 164k banked when it went wonky, but the previous save had only 72k. It was quite a shocker.

Since then I've saved much more often.

I like your idea of saving with the midnight karma. I'll do that.

When it happened to me I was on week 10 or something like that, but it can happen any time.
