Unlocked clothing
« on: March 11, 2011, 11:30:03 PM »
I recently started working on the styling career and I've been noticing clothing I haven't noticed before that have a icon of an open lock on them.
I was wondering if some these are from researching new fashions on the drafting table.
Some of them I recognize as outfits from jobs I've had but other ones I don't recognize.

The stylist career unlocks several outfits you cannot get otherwise. I don't think you necessarily have to research new fashions on the drafting table to get them though.

A lot of Unlockable content came with Ambitions. When your Sim uses the Time Machine they can get Prehistoric Outfits and Furutristic. My Sim got a Prehistoric Outfit from exploring a Glowy Mine Hole she dug, now she has a Caveman Outfit!  :)

I recoloured it to her theme but this Outfit is now unlocked in that Save game.  ;)

You can also unlock some outfits from careers, I have the Chefs outfit in another saved game from a Five Star Chef.

On a side note if you want to have access to these cloths but not have to bring up a stylist and time travel every time  you can get them with the cheat code  unlockoutfits on

It also unlocks some other cool outfits I didn't know you could get. Like dress your sim up like a simbot or a mummy

Yes, it's just a trait and an outfit that makes a Sim become a SimBot, a Mummy, and a Vampire (no outfit for that).
Well, that's your opinion, isn't it? And I'm not about to waste my time trying to change it. - Lady GaGa

You can get the Fangs and the Tattoo in the Accessories after unlocking it.

I can't find the fangs, only the tattoo. Are they not available for teens?
