By one of those strange coincidences, Wednesday also happens to be Malcolm Landgraab's birthday. He comes over to share birthday cake.
Mary knows what she wants. As soon as Malcolm has his birthday, she pops a wish to ask Malcolm to marry her - which she wastes no time in doing. Malcolm says yes.
They commemorate the occasion by trying for baby, and it takes. Another Vandersim is on the way. They're really taking over the town.
Malcolm's LTW is to follow in his mother's footsteps and rise to the top of the Business career. I figure it's as good as any other career, so both he and Mary get jobs in Business.
Now that Malcolm is a part of the Vandersim clan, it's time for him to do something about his appearance. He loses a bit of weight and gets a new look and new clothes, and you'd hardly recognize him.
Bringing Malcolm into the household also gave me access to his inventory, and did I get a surprise when I looked there - fourteen cars! All sloppy jalopies and big lemons, not a valuable ride among the lot. I guess the rich really are different from you and me. Maybe his doting mother bought him a new car every time the old one got dirty.
Soon the newlyweds are ready to move to their new home, and quite a nice one it is.
Mary had about 35,000 happiness points when she moved out.
