Try doing Arlo as a toddler. (I don't remember his last name)
Arlo's last name is Bunch, but he looks like he got dropped on his face!
Maybe he might be okay as an toddler, though...

To do this, I saved the townie to my bin, then went to Edit Town and Create A Sim.  Using the pre-made Sims, I was able to pull up the townie and then age him/her to toddler.

Ok, perhaps I'm missing a step here, but when I try to do this, I can't find the sim in my pre-made sims.

I save the sims to my bin through edit town, then I go to CAS and hit the "Pre-Made Sims" button.  The only sims there are the ones that came with the game, plus a few that I saved there myself through CAS.  None of the sims in the bin show up.

What am I not doing?

This is what Pam told me, and I followed it and it worked. It's written for Gunther but can be used on any sim.

1.  Go to Edit Town and take control of the Goth household.
2.  Send Gunther to a mirror or dresser to change appearance or plan outfit.
3.  While in that version of CAS, click on the button with 3 dots and choose save to bin (or library).
4.  Exit CAS.
5.  Go back to Edit Town and go into CAS.
6.  Find Gunther Goth under Pre-made Sims (button in lower left corner).
7.  Change Gunther's skin to blue.  Leave his traits and everything else the same.
8.  Add the new Gunther to the Goth household through Edit Town.
9.  Take control of Goth household and delete old Gunther.

They are by age and gender in CAS pre-made sims too.

@Hosfac:

It sounds like you don't have control of the Sim when you put him in your bin.  You need to be controlling him so you can send him to the mirror or dresser and save him from there.

To add on to what Pam said, remember what age group the sim is in.
For example, I saved Luna to the bin as a teenager. When I tried to find her, I couldn't and I just couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. In the end, it was because she's under the teenage tab, not young adult :D

I figured that part out before I figured out how to actually get them in there lol.  I spent a half hour looking for Ma Bagley, simply because I wondered what she looked like when she was younger.  Aside from that silly hat, she's wasn't a bad looking lady in her day!

He's almost cute as a toddler - that elongated horse face isn't quite as pronounced as when he is grown up.  I just cringe when I think about how he will turn out, though.

Does anyone know if it works right backwards? I had saved Prue (toddler) than I went to another game and made her a YA. She is beautiful but I wonder if she will really look like that when she grows up right? If so, Prue will be gorgeous!!  ;D

Yes, that's what she will look like.  I'm pretty sure, anyway.

Her facial features should be identical.  The hair might be different, but at least that can be changed.

If I make a toddler, child or teen in CAS, I start by making the sim as a young adult to get them to look how I'd want them to look when they grow up, and then set them to whatever age I had in mind.

What a neat way to have Sims look like what you want them to in the future! I'll use that, thanks. But I'd rather stick to genetics than making a child look perfect in CAS.
