Dear Hylarie...ever miss our families?

Dear Hylarie,

Ever think back to that day we left and wish we could change it back? I guess it's just me reaching elder status in two days. I'm having a day to where I just miss my Mom. I wish I could take back those awful things I said to her. I wish I could turn back the clock and not storm off. That and I feel guilty for accidentally dragging you with me. I know you're happy and I am immensely happy too. Well I was.

Good news is that the kids are great. They are settling into life and have such great personalities. Raquelle has found a best friend forever in Kizzy Caliente. Dianne loves talking about improving her skills. Wesley is off visiting his girlfriend Rosie on his days off. All three of them have made the honor roll at school. Raquelle is even becoming quite the accomplished painter.

Raquelle still hasn't found love. She says she is still looking. Apparently the Clifton Goldbeard crush was just a fling. Once she had her first kiss she was done with him! I never know what that girl is going to do next. I have a feeling they are cooking up a surprise party for my birthday.

What they kids don't know is all I want is for Jonah to look at me like he did. The years between our ages didn't bother him at first. Strangetown and my story didn't either. We just fell for each other. Now he is treating me like some alien. I wish I could get to the bottom of it.

Feeling lost,
Nadia

Scrambled eggs with toast actually :P

I saw this idea on another writer's story on Sims 3 EA forum. Thinking it was a good idea, I made a family tree to start keeping track of everyone. Here it is if you guys want to see it. Also, the link is on the first post if you ever want to refer back to it.

The Scrapbook

Mom and Dad are going to kill me when they figure out. I've been hopping out of the back of the bus to skip school. Mom's birthday is in a few days. I know she secretly wants a portrait of her when she is still young. After three days and my drop from the honor roll I finished it.  Wesley was great for covering for me. Now I only have to hide my report card. Maybe I can paint over it too and hide the C's.

It's great to have some normalcy at home. Dianne has a new best friend in Roldofo Cross-Inkbeard. He's a sweet little kid. I think he may be her first crush. That's kind of scary considering she's flirting at ten years old already. I've had no time for boys considering the mystery around the house.

Mom and Dad have been yelling every night. One night Wesley and I listened at the vents in my room. We could hear her crying in her room...she even called Dad Jonah Lai and apologized for never taking his name! That has never happened. Shoot I thought Millham was Dad's name. Wesley is determined to find out what this weird Strangetown is and why it's causing things to go sour. However, Dad still wants to throw the double party on Saturday. It's fun to focus on throwing a great party for Dianne and Mom.

Might I add that the party was amazing? Everyone in town was there. We even had three people I don't know crash and paparazzi sneak in. Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Hannah came with her kids. Mom's best friends came and brought their kids. Dianne flirted the night away with all of the little boys. Dad was furious trying to chase them away. It was adorable.

Wesley was mad saying I was corrupting her by teaching her how to bat her eyes and drive them mad. Mom laughed it off. Kizzy Caliente helped also. Mom told Dad "What do you expect from Dina's child?" It was an amazing night.

Mom aged so beautifully. She's been so self conscious because of this Strangetown fiasco. I've never seen anyone so beautiful. The celebrity magazines said so also. I hope my name "Raquelle Millham" is spread across them all saying how beautiful and sweet I am when I become an elder.

Dianne grew up scary gorgeous! She's excited to start high school on Monday and is excited to see...the boys! Dad and Wesley are out now combing the Consignment shops for guns and bats to beat them off with! They are very protective over we Millham girls. Especially since Dianne grew up with flirting trait.

Well diary I have to go. I have a TON of makeup work to do. Also Mom wants to talk to me about something. I'm kinda scared. However, that will have to wait for tomorrow. Dad whispered to me he was taking her out on the town tonight. His eyes were happy...very happy. I think he may have forgiven her..for whatever she did.

I literally laughed out loud when I read that. It sounds like Nadia and Jonah have finally come to terms with whatever they've been hiding from the kids...and us! When will we find out? Who knows!

The Talk

It's late and Mom just returned from her celebration with Dad and said she wanted to talk to me. So I was naturally scared...I thought she had found out about me kissing Clifton for fun or my report card. Well this story is best rewritten in her own terms. So now Wesley, Dianne, and myself are sitting in my room and I'm reading this to them...

Strangetown doesn't exist

Raquelle, I'm sure you have heard your Father and I arguing. We have since mended things. I had to prove I loved him. You're old enough now to know....

When I was young very young, I lived in a desert town called Strangetown. It was a sweet place in the middle of nowhere. It was riddled with aliens and peaceful alien couples. Yes they exist the trio in your Aunt Hylarie and mine best friendship is a half Alien.

Anyway, I digress and it's late. Anyway, I was an impetuous stubborn angry teenager. Thank God you didn't inherit all that from me. I got into a fight with my Mother one day. It was horrible and childish. She didn't like my boyfriend at the time. He was an alien. My Mother was from the old school during the initial invasion.

We started yelling and as a threat I stormed off into my Father's time machine. Hylarie ran after me trying to calm me down. I pulled levers. It was just a little jaunt in time. We took hundreds and thousands of trips like that. This time something changed it was different. Somehow...we transported into the middle of the attack on Twinbrook.

Strangetown once upon a time was the very same Twinbrook you see on the maps today. Only this happens many many years in the future. Apparently the peaceful town I knew with Aliens was only the result of treaties and hard work between the Vengran people and humans. Peace comes ugly and we could from the window how ugly and great that price came.

Instead of landing in the invasion fully the time machine was caught in the crossfire of a hyperbunk laser pro 5 beam. We stepped out heads reeling vomiting. I've never spun in so many circles in my life. *laughs to herself*

Hylarie saw the year and where we were. Bridgeport of all places! We dreamed of moving to the big city. Hylarie and I got jobs went to college together lived in a ramshackle apartment. She met David and fell in love. You know how well she ended up.

I traveled here looking for family..I had heard stories of Uncle Bill and by my guess he should have been here. Instead he wasn't and I claimed his unowned property left behind. I met your father and fell madly in love.

However, not a day goes by I don't regret the last terrible words I said to my Mother. How I said I hated her. I've been making this scrapbook of my life..this is my legacy. So she knows we are all right and can be a part of our lives. She would have loved you kids...and adored your father.

Please Raquelle when I'm gone and from now on keep it up. Right our stories and what happens. Pass this story along. Most importantly keep this envelope sealed and safe. I don't know how this will change time but it isn't detrimental or we wouldn't be here now talking.

It contains a letter from me to my Mom. Warning her of the invasion. *tears well up * You see what I saw from the window was a bomb landing on her house and the Grim Reaper taking my Mother and everyone. It's key that a warning gets to them! They can bring the peace instead of the warzone I saw!

So when this family is ten generations out of shy little girls have one travel to twinbrook and buy this lot out of town. With it they can start a new life and create the peaceful town I remember and know. The fun of aliens and people and just life.

That is the story your Father has been angry about. We have talked at great length. I guess with the difference in our ages he began wondering if I married him for him. I did your Father is an amazing man and I wouldn't trade my life for anything. He knows that now. Life is funny and has many twists and turns.

...and I Raquelle...promised my Mom that I'd do just as she asked. Tell the story on about our life and the twists and turns it may bring.

Thank you everyone for the thousand views. I am very touched by your patience with me. I know this isn't the best written tale on here. It's choppy and needs work but...it's just to be a tale about life. Sometimes normal is stranger than fiction.

No it works. Just be careful with some of your wordings cause sometimes it gets a little confusing. The story itself makes perfect sense to me, though, and I really like the direction your taking it. Adds a plot to it, you know? And it adds a reason to stop at the tenth gen...if you actually decide to stop :P

Unless that mysterious meteor finally falls before then. ;) I was trying to give a storytelling air. Like if we were sitting across the table from her. I'm pretty unsure about it all.
