Raquelle and Wesley are so cute together. She's such a great big sister. My only question is: what does Jonah have to say about the little surprise? :P

So was the pregnancy shorter than the others? Is there any way she could have already been pregnant or was it really all the pills doing?

Thanks Colossus!

The pregnancy actually timed out to be a day longer than normal but no morning sickness. Also, it isn't possible that she was pregnant before hand. Nadia rejects Jonah each time he tries. She never wants to woohoo on her own. Last time they rolled for a kid I prodded them and we have Wesley. So they literally did kiss go to bed and a day or two later she was expecting. I'm not sure if it was actually the experimental treatment or a glitch. Either or I'm sure Dianne is very happy it happened. :P (Disclaimer: For my legacy family all my tweaking into the games system is turned off or removed)

That's only because of the awesomeness of a Mac   8)

If anyone would like to see more pictures feel free to visit my Photobucket Album where all of these are hosted. I have a lot of pictures that don't make the cut into the story. So if you're extremely bored have fun.

Dear Hylarie...My Kids Are Strange

Dear Hylarie,

This is just a quick email but you have to read this Report I attached. Wesley is well I honestly don't know where he gets this stuff.

The day I saw aliens
Story by: Wesley Millham

My name is Wesley Millham and I am in the third grade in Barnacle Bay school for the gifted. This is the story of how my sister got weird when I saw aliens. My Mom says I'm imaginative and am just excited.

My family is awesome. My Dad is a secret agent but he won't tell me where. He brings us back presents and built us a playground in our big backyard. Our slide looks like an elephant. If Mom would let me I would play on it all day and forget about homework. My little sister Dianne is too little to swing or slide. Mom says she will grow up too fit it soon. Raquelle and I play with Dianne at the playtable.

Mom is a good doctor. She is nice and a good Mom. Mom likes it when I play nice with my sisters. Everyone in town knows who my Mom is and like her. Raquelle and I talked to Mom about money. We talked in school about buying business. Mom and Dad thought it was cute so they sent a check and we own some of the bookstore. Mom and Dad even let us ride out bikes to go give Mr. Mooney the check. That is when I saw something in the sky.

The sky got really really dark. I kept looking up but the splotch stayed in the sky. Raquelle got scared and was afraid it would squish us. I told her she was being a scaredy cat girl. Nothing happened so we talked to Mr. Mooney and then went home because it was late and we didn't have our homework done.

I had to stop on the way home to pick up some bugs. They looked sooo cool! I have three bugs now in my collection. A water bug, and an orange bug and a green bug. I also found some silver next to the green bug. Raquelle said they looked icky and gross. She also told me she was excited about her birthday coming up. I didn't think it was a big deal. Raquelle didn't like cool parties anyway.

The next day Mom baked a cake after school. It was chocolate Raquelle's favorite. I said we shoulda put gummy worms in it. Dad and Mom stayed home and we had a family party. Dianne was even in the room but she is too little to know what was going on. Raquelle was excited. I gave her the pretty silver for a present. She liked it.

Then it got weird. I had the same funny feeling as when I saw the blob in the sky. I shoulda been looking when I was collecting bugs. Raquelle twirled around and then she was tall! I took a picture...Raquelle wouldn't turn around said this was more dramatic...I said she was weird and made her turn around.

So my theory is that Aliens took my sister. My Mom says I'm crazy but would fit in someplace called Strangetown. Strangetown is where my Mom is from and doesn't talk about it much. I never found it on any map of Simworld. So I am going to look for it when I get big and find my sister. Right after I put my bugs in her bed. That'll surprise Raquelle.

Author's Note: Raquelle rolled the Lucky Trait. So that adds to her trait list. I wrote this partially inspired by a meteor that never hit. The game kept alerting me about it. I stalked Wesley waiting on it to hit but it never did.

You've got to be the luckiest simmer ever, Nicky.  :) That meteor coulda squashed poor Wesley and we would be without the cuteness of a little boy to add to the mix of girls.

Dear Hylarie...I'm not ready for teenagers

Hylarie,

I write this email while my kids are still cute adorable and silent. Yes they are asleep and I am still awake. I miss being young and having the ability to fall back asleep after being woken up in the middle of the night. How on earth do you handle this roller coaster? Maybe your kids are easy but who knows. I should start at the beginning.

Well boy crazy has hit Raquelle in full force. Kendall La Mer calls everyday. There's also Clifton Goldbeard who keeps showing up. Clifton is from the richest family in the bay. I've told her time and again Clifton would be an awful match. Raquelle won't listen. It worries me...she flirts and throws herself at Clifton but he never flirts in return. However I did over hear Clifton talking marriage. MARRIAGE! Hylarie and they are only sixteen! I'm sorry but the Goldbeards are not getting wealthier off of my hard work. Over my dead body will Raquelle marry into that family and my legacy be turned into nothing.

Raquelle also refuses to get a part-time job. We've told her we will not buy her a car she has to earn it herself. It builds character. Secretly Jonah and I were hoping it would get her interested in something. Raquelle tends to just stand in the house doing nothing. Never in my wildest dreams did I think she'd pick up Mixology. All of my juice goblets are broken. Jonah bought as a treat a wonderful bottle of nectar...which lasted as long as Raquelle's latest attempt at showing off her skills. The ants appreciated the sugary treat on the floor I guess.

On top of the boy craziness, mixology diasters...Jonah's pager goes off every weekend. We go to bed Raquelle is home. She sneaks out to go to the Grind after everyone is asleep. Jonah's coworkers just page him to get up and wait for them to drag her home for being out past curfew.

We are so worried about her. That and a little too focused. I'm such a terrible mother Hylarie no lie. After one long night of waiting up we forgot Dianne's birthday. She came in all grown up. I feel so guilty about it. She calmly hugged us and ran out to play with Wesley. She forgave very easily.

Welsey is very protective of little Dianne. They were inseparable from the moment Dianne reached childhood. Jonah and I talked late into one night worried about Wesley's upcoming birthday. Wesley would be a teenager. I guess it's natural parent worries that comes with gray hair that Raquelle is generously giving. The morning of Wesley's birthday however Dianne was up working at the play oven. She made him a birthday cake complete with gummy worms.

Apparently our worries were for nothing also. The very next day Jonah snapped this picture of the kids on the school bus.  However, that very night Wesley was drug home by the police. However, he was caught banging on the door of the local movie studio trying to get a part time job. He didn't want to wait and get a job. After laughing I did lecture him letting him know daytime is a better time to ask for a job.

Hylarie I am not ready for this roller coaster. I thought I left those behind. Jonah teases me that I'm getting too old. He's sweet but also realizes that's a sore topic with me. I will be an elder soon. I was depressed because I haven't obtained my lifetime wish. I haven't had any time to work on my logic skill with all the drama going on. However, the hospital just promoted me for saving a little boy's life. You'll see it in the newspaper tomorrow morning. I'm not a world renowned surgeon. It's surreal to say it. The news hasn't settled in yet that I'm a four star celebrity with people around the globe knowing who I am. I have a couple coming in to consult with me about repairing a birth defect in their son...and they are from Shang Simla!

Lots to ponder on,

Nadia

I rarely comment on stories, but I had to say the "scrapbook" pages are a very cool idea!  I have enjoyed it reading.  :)

Thanks gerr. It's an idea to tie things in together. The letters/emails will be ending soon. I'm trying to make this somewhat of a real story and not just a listing of what is going on.

Dear Hylarie..Ahh young love.

Dear Hylarie,

Well the love bug has hit in the Millham house. The irony of it all will have you in fits of laughter. Remember Celeste Malfia? Yes that is Jonah's old girlfriend. Yes she still hates my guts and fights me every time she sees me. You'd think with Jonah and I having three children and married all these years she would have gotten over it! It isn't our fault she's never settled down.

Back to my story. The main fact of this is that she has a little girl named Rosie. Wesley chased this little girl all through childhood. He'd give her all his prize worms and bugs. Which in Wesley's eyes that was better than diamonds. However, because of Celeste raising her child to be a little snobby Rosie never gave Wesley the time of day. It was heartbreaking to see how much he'd pine away. Wesley has been still chasing after her now that he is a teenager. He invites her out every night. Rosie will show up but just enough to insult him and leave five minutes after. Apparently this girl couldn't resist out for too long because I found this in Wesley's desk drawer...and yes I was totally spying. Attached was a very perfume smelling note saying "Happy One Week Anniversary Stud!"

It looks like I will have to learn to be nice to Celeste for a while! In other great news Dianne and Raquelle both have picked a lifetime wish. I was cleaning Dianne's room when I found all of my med school textbooks in there with notes. I've suspected this for a while seeing as how we didn't have a dog to eat my textbooks. Dianne is constantly playing chess and begging to come to work with me. She wants to be a World Renowned Surgeon too. Jonah and I made sure to ask if she was sure. She is determined though. I can't squelch the dreams of any of my kids. Dianne made me promise to send you a copy of the page she made of me in my uniform.

Raquelle has been hard at work at the easel. I'm happy because it keeps her home at night and not running around town being drug home by the police! Jonah also bought her an electric guitar and took her to the local Haunt to a jam session. Raqeulle admitted she didn't want her wish to be a career. She just wanted to master the arts. I think its settled her though. It's a good thing we partially own the local Diner, Bookstore, and Bistro. At least when she inherits the homestead she will have some income coming in. I still refuse to believe a Goldbeard boy is right for her!

Sorry this is short and sweet but I wanted to share the news! I have to go check on the appetizers in the oven. Tonight we are all throwing a surprise party for Jonah. He doesn't know yet but he is being promoted to International Super Spy today. We are inviting the entire family and all of our friends over to celebrate. This means two lifetime wishes have been granted Jonah's and my own.

Take care! Send pictures of that grandbaby of yours!

Nadia

Wow I love the scrapbook posts. How did you get it to do that? Your way of telling the story really adds life to the characters and that's something that can be difficult to do. I really love your legacy :)

Thank you. The scrapbook pages are created via Picnik. I highly recommend Picnik for basic photo tweaking. It's my favorite without breaking down and buying Adobe Photoshop
