Dear Hylarie...They Grow Up Too Fast!
Dear Hylarie,
Have I ever said I don't envy you? I can't imagine five teenagers under one roof. I'd go batty! Thank you for your concerns on us financially. We are very stable now. Jonah had the brilliant idea of investing in Hogan's Deep Sea Diner. It has really paid off. We are debating on investing in another local business when we save pennies up. Our salaries are on the higher end now. Jonah is a Special Agent and works many days even when he is off. He loves it so we tolerate it. I wish he was home more. He's been oddly distant lately. His late nights and days have paid off I guess. We expanded the house to fit our growing family again.
Now Raquelle has her much needed own bedroom. She is very excited about it. Jonah bought her the little princess set and she kept us busy all day one day arranging it just so. Raquelle loves the ballerina music box you sent her for her birthday. She also insists on painting all the pictures for it to decorate it.
I just have to keep a cloth under the easel. Raquelle's clumsiness tends to create interesting stains on my hardwood floors! Remember how you warned me to stop taking experimental treatments for extra cash? Well I didn't listen. Interesting thing those giant pills....we call one at work "magical baby cure." Why that you ask? Well I took one, kissed Jonah goodnight, and woke up like this...
Stop squealing! I can hear you from here! *laughs* Good news is we sent the pill off to a lab in Bridgeport for more testing. Why don't YOU go to your local hospital and be a tester? Seeing as how you obviously love having loads of kids! I just hope my explanation about plants didn't confuse Raquelle too much. Ya know when a Mommy and Daddy plant love each other? Yes the story was just as bad as it sounds. Our last little bundle of joy was a little girl we named her Dianne.
Since we had a three birthdays coming up we decided to buy birthday cakes and have a big party. Raquelle is very shy like me so she wasn't fond of it. I think she tried talking Wesley out of wanting to have a party. It was cute to watch though. Jonah wanted to show of the house to his family. Also, Wesley, Jonah, and baby Dianne were all aging up. So I ordered three cakes tons of pizza and we built a patio to hold the new hot tub a business sent Jonah because he's a celebrity too now.
Wesley grew up to be a typical rough and tumble little boy. Jonah's father gave him a baseball cap. Which the boy has yet to take off. He wears it everywhere. Wesley grew up promptly went straight for the garden and dug for worms..much to Raquelle's dismay may I add. It was obvious someone had inherited my love for the outdoors trait.
Little Dianne quickly became a toddler. My dear friend and mother-in-law remarked on her hair color. Three kids and two of them inherited a lot from the Lai side of the family. However, it's clear where this set of hair came from! In the picture it's hard to tell. However, instead of the jet black like her father and siblings Dianne inherited my purplish auburn color. Dianne loves the color violet and french music like her big sister. She also squeals when I make babyfood out of her favorite goopy carbonara. The amazing thing about her though is how fast she learns things. We recently figured out that Dianne was born with the perceptive and genius traits.
Jonah is now a full adult. He's proud of all he's accomplished as a young adult. I feel he is getting the idea that there is nothing left for him to do. I really hope the dreaded mid-life crisis isn't around the corner. I have to end this email. (Things are so much easier now that we have a computer isn't it?) my beeper went off. I'm needed at the hospital.
Miss ya!
Nadia
