Preface

Hello new forum buddies. Let me warn you that my story will have images and several of them larger. So if you have a slow connection be patient. Also, if Photobucket decides to be a pain and a picture disappears let me know!

This is my first ever Sim story. Hopefully this will get my creative juices rolling again. I am playing this game according to Pinstar's Legacy rules and in Barnacle Bay. I will confess I cheated to set my family funds down to the proper amount. Also, in beginning this my game crashed much to my dismay. So in order to reset the storyline I wanted up I cheated again. These were merely to reestablish what I had. I also beat myself for not hitting save sooner!! So without further Adieu let me introduce you to my little founder.

This is Nadia Millham a small town girl who grew up in Strangetown. Most people don't even remember where Strangetown is due to it being wiped off the map when an intern spilled coffee on all the maps of the modern Sim World. Mostly she tells people her family lives "One inch into the big brown blob". Upon entering her college years Nadia along with her best friend Hylarie moved to the big city of Bridgeport to earn an education.

Nadia had barely walked across the stage diploma in hand when she received a call from her Mother. Nadia's crazy uncle Barnacle Bill had invited the Grim Reaper over for a party. Only problem is the Grim reaper didn't want the party to end. Uncle Barnacle Bill's dying wish was Nadia to become a doctor and help the people of his beloved Barnacle Bay. So in his will he left his grand mansion and vast fortune to Nadia. Much against her Mother's and her best friend Hylarie's wishes Nadia went.

After all Hylarie was a Mom and a famous teacher now. There was not much time for hanging out with her very much single friend Nadia. Nadia was a hopeless family oriented romantic. She hoped for a true love and family of her own one day soon. That is if she could ever let her friendly demeanor shine through her suffocating shyness.

Chapter One
Dear Hylarie...what have I done.

Dear Hylarie,

Well here I am arriving on my first day in Barnacle Bay! The weather here is amazing always bikini weather. You should be jealous living in stuffy ol' Bridgeport. There are beaches everywhere. You should bring the munchkins down for a vacation soon.

Okay I can hear you now...that sounds fake right? It isn't the weather is beautiful and the scenery amazing. However, you know I love the outdoors. Actually, it's a good thing I love the outdoors because well check out the picture of Crazy Uncle Bill's "Mansion"...

Now don't you dare call my mother and let her know! They can't afford to help me besides. I love camping...and there's no one back home for me. I hope a life here will be better. The best thing is this lot is huge. All I have to do is save my money to build me a little home. until then it's time to enjoy camping for now.

So with my last $20 tip money from my old job in bridgeport I bought some seeds. The garden will do nicely to help bring in food and extra produce to sell for cash. You know how good my green thumb is. Oh and don't you dare forget to water your garden! We didn't spend all those hours trying to plant fire fruit for nothing!

Besides stop worrying I can do this and take care of myself. I'm not as innocent and clueless as you think I am. I've already met several new acquaintances which ya know is hard for me to do. I'm told because everyone is talking about me I'm somewhat of a small celebrity now!

The best news of all is that I finally tracked down the Dean of Medicine at the hospital here. All of my paperwork is in and I've been hired! He says I start on Monday as an Organ Donor. Which I'm sure he meant I'm handling Organ Donations...not doing the donating...

I miss you bunches! Give those four rowdy boys of yours hugs and kisses from me! I'm about to check the newspaper to see if there's any good haunts in town. Hopefully I'll see Mr. Right at the club!

Missing my best friend,

Nadia <3

Excellent start. Glad to see we're getting new visitors and new stories all the time. :D I started a legacy once, it turned into a drama before I even posted it.  ::) Ah well, gotta love what you do I suppose. Nice trick with the tent though, better than sleeping in the open!

I'm sorry! I should have made it clearer.  It's actually in there but I listed them in story format. Here's her first list. She's a hopeless romantic, family-oriented, loves the outdoors, friendly, and shy. I'm actually a few steps ahead of what I've posted and Nadia is in a few scrapes as well. I've been procrastinating my paper and reading everyone's stories on here.

Dear Hylarie...I attract married men??

Dear Hylarie,

Good news! I seem to have a knack at fishing. Growing up in Strangetown all our fish glowed purple and orange. You know our Mother's never let us try. Bridgeport never had anywhere to fish really. There are plenty of scenic fishing spots for me to snag my supper.

Best of all is a local haunt with a stocked fridge. I can go there using their pots and pans for a quick fish soup supper. Don't frown on it until you try it! You forget I can't just go out to eat. I'm saving to build a dream home. I will confess I used my newfound celebrity status to snag some free Nachos at the local dance club.

My goal is to go out and find Mr. Right. I will even take Mr. I Will Tolerate You. I hate meeting new people or being around strangers though. It always sends my mood into the red giving me negative moodlets. So when I meet a new man I get right to the important question first off...

Unfortunately he was indeed married and the paper later said his wife gave birth to a baby girl. Some luck huh? So I tried again to find a soul mate...

This guys girlfriend still hates me for asking her man that question. Hey at least I asked first right? So instead I walked over to the park to see if anyone was there...

Hylarie, no lie this man invited me to his wedding next week! What's sad is I don't really know anybody so I'm thinking about going. Then after browsing the consignment shop my supervisor walked in...yes the one whom you say is adorable. In a desperate attempt I asked him also..

Moe Pesce is is name and finally I had some success! He was single and I knew him from work. So I wasn't nearly as scared to be around him as I was everyone else. It was nice being with a friend at last. We went out for drinks that evening.

Moe isn't all that bad. He is dating someone else though. He also had this girl following him around. He called her his ex-girlfriend. I haven't decided if he is too much drama or worth my time. Either or for the remainder of the date he kept getting more and more handsome looking. Moe was the perfect gentleman though.

What's really creepy is the paparazzi in town. There's this one guy he keeps watching my tent at night. I keep wondering if I should call the cops on him. I don't want my frizzy bedhair to be on the front page of the newspaper! I'd much rather dream of my dream home in peace and quiet without strangers.

Speaking of strangers a challenge arrived to me in my mailbox. It was to befriend a new family for celebrity points. I thought it was a good idea since I was new also. So I took a deep breath and headed over to the Gai family. There I met Jonah...

He has a bit of a snob trait in him but after time we got along somewhat. We went out for drinks just as friend. He let me know he was dating Celeste in town. So after adding a bit of makeup we went out on the town.

Hylarie, I don't know if it was the drink or what but my head was swimming. We had a drink or two and that led to my first kiss. Jonah is an amazing kisser if a girl can get him to stop bragging about how much better he is than everyone. He's cute too he's just got a girlfriend. I hope she doesn't find out about how our makeout session at the local bar led to some wooo and hooing. Next time I'll remember your voice reminding me that I can only handle one glass of juice!

Oh and congrats on the birth of your baby girl. What a way to round off that clan of boys! Love ya!

Nadia.

I'm glad you decided to share your story with us.  It looks like you're off to a great start, too.  As for the pictures, the preferred size for the Forum is 640 x 480.  Yours don't look too big to me, but if you want to make sure, you can resize them in Photobucket before posting.  We also have our own Gallery that is free for our members to store Sims 3 images.  Click here for information and instructions.

Good luck with your story!

Dear Hylarie...I'm in another scrape

I'm bursting with good news! I have been promoted at work. I've went from a mere Organ donor! Which is a great thing considering the fact that I need my organs inside of me. I'm now a Bed Pan Cleaner. It's not glamourous but it did come with a bonus. I was so excited I immediately borrowed some tools and built myself a little one room home. The picture is dark and it's late but I just had to snap it and show you.

And here is my little bungalow once I had another paycheck to decorate a little.

According to your last letter you want all the dish on Jonah...and stop making fun of me. It was one misspell I know his name is Lai not Gai! Anywho, we went out for some drinks again. He wanted to spill all his sorrows and troubles about his girlfriend Celeste. Despite, him being a snob Jonah was really starting to warm up to me and we became good friends fast. However, after I went home that night I didn't feel well at all.

I haven't called and told my Mother my suspicions yet. It's too soon and you know she'd freak if I told her I was expecting! Frankly, I haven't even told Jonah yet. Things have been so crazy and he seems to just be interested on romance.

It's been everything at once! Apparently I'm a four star celebrity now. With that comes scandal so the very next morning after making my discovery I was at the courthouse. I had to sue to clear my good name! Someone was spreading the rumor around town I was woohooing every man in town. That is untrue I have only eyes for Jonah. Jonah's Mother and I are best friends now. So I called her letting her know of my victory and of course my suspicions. She's very excited to be a grandmother.

Nervous, I didn't want to keep things in the dark any longer I invited Jonah over. We talked and chatted. I finally got up the nerve to ask him to break up with Celeste and make me his girl. See aren't you proud of me? I'm learning to live with my distaste of being around strangers and putting myself forward. My shyness isn't getting the better of me.

I was so shocked when he eagerly said yes! The excitement took over me I proposed immediately.

He was so excited and he says he is crazy about me. Considering our upcoming little addition to the family we had a small ceremony in the living room. I know you wanted to be there and see me in a gorgeous dress. Considering your big family traveling is expensive. Besides, Jonah loves how big of a celebrity I am. He wanted to protect my good image and so it was just us.

Now the court case about my slander has subsided. I won the case with a nice pocket of cash. Also, Jonah had 1,000 in savings and a brand new Prius he had just purchased. I'm excited about having a car in the family. It's so much nicer than having to call a Taxi everywhere. Jonah and I also discussed the need for adding onto our little home. We needed more than just one tiny room!

However, I am worried about money. We aren't the richest people in the world by any means. I told Jonah all of my concerns. Quickly he gave me a hug and let me know it will all be alright.

So I gave into adding on. I've added pictures of our new little home. It's not very big but there's plenty of room for adding thanks to this huge lot Uncle Bill had left to me. My new projects are to get Jonah in for a makeover and out of those dreadful jeans. Also he wishes to be an International Super Spy. First thing in the morning I am encouraging him to go to the police station and apply for a job. It won't hurt to ask! Enjoy the picture of our new home!

Lots of Love and Congrats on the Promotion to Principal!

Nadia

Thanks everyone for reading. I see the viewcount it makes me smile!! Don't forget to visit all the other great stories here too! Also, please don't be afraid to comment. Ask questions, give me feedback.

Jonah Millham

Jonah Lai (Gai I really did misstype that) has the snob, daredevil, heavy sleeper, vegetarian, and hydrophobic traits. He also came into the family with a Gardening skill of 8 and a lifetime wish of being an International Super Spy. At least he can help grow food!  :D His favorites are Pop Music, Grilled Cheese, and the color silver.
