I've completed the scheduled maintenance without a hitch. We're now running the latest version of Simple Machines Forum in public release. There aren't really any performance improvements with this upgrade but the security of our community's data is top priority.
Along the way, I implemented a bookmark plugin. You can now bookmark your favorite/owned topics at the top of a thread and view them all through the interface linked on the top bar. This is a cool feature and I'll use it myself! You can thank member sdhoey for suggesting it.
I took the opportunity to reboot the server and fix a couple of issues there.
However, one problem has presented itself in that larger files on the Swap Shop (greater than 5mb) are not being downloaded properly. They give a 404 error that we're investigating now. This only affects 3 or 4 large houses that have been uploaded so far. File download issues have been fixed. Please clear your browser's cache to confirm you are getting the new version of Display.php which has been modifiedI kept the green bar as you can see. We'll be installing a new theme eventually and I hope to make it blend in better and clean up the edges. That's largely a cosmetic issue so I changed my mind when gerrr00 said she'd miss it. From the clicks we get there, she wouldn't be the only one. Sometimes ugly is better than nothing
Edit: Also, Hotmail and MSN users will now properly receive email notifications. Pam told me Leto85 had a problem with them, and I set up a
[email protected] account that will now handle our registration and notification system.
