How did you get that great texture?  Lovely!

I have been getting so confused on how I have made these patterns it took me a while to remember  ???
I made it in Photoshop Elements I also have Photoshop CS3 but Elements has some fun stuff like clip art, backgrounds etc...

After I had the striped type pattern and color I wanted, I went into effects then texturize. Once made I brought it into CAP.

It has been so long since I used these programs and I forget how things are done!

Glad you like it - actually I am going to play around some more later on with the textures, I find I like how they look in the
game especially on the furniture. Looks kinda cozy to me. :)

Yo Jancy, nice to see another Photoshop fanatic around here. If you want to refresh your mind into Photoshop and stuff, just give me a pm and I will get it for you.

Those walls you've posted are looking fast. Yeah, 'fast'. I don't have another word to describe it.

I know what you mean, they look pretty busy.

I think this would make a great rug pattern.

Minimum furniture, maximum Beige Gray Vertical and Horizontal Texture Patterns and you will use it in the best possible way as far as I know.

I definitely don't think I would use them both a lot in one room-it sure would make me dizzy!  But here and there it looks pretty good!
I'm now playing around in ArtRage also to see if I can make a textured ceiling or floor that can be recolored in the game.

@ Leto-you did send me some web site info in a PM a month ago or so to brush up or should I say jog my memory on Photoshop

Of course you wouldn't want to use both of them in the same room on walls.  Can we say all fall down from dizziness?  BUT, on just one wall of four in a room that is very modern balanced with 3 white walls it is stunning.  For rugs and furniture it is outstanding.  You really have a knack for this Jancy.  Keep up the good work so I can clean out some of my not so great patterns and fill in with yours.

I used to be able to use Corel, (not quite as good as Photoshop), but since I switched to Windows 7 I haven't gotten any of the good editing/creating stuff back on my pc.  I miss being able to make all kinds of stuff the way I used to but no way want to switch back to Vista or XP!

Here is the horizontal patten changed to a green shade and put on Sophia's Evening Dress.  I actually think it looks kind of pretty!
Vertical would probably look more slimming on a Sim that needs slimming down. :)

I have Coral PSP, an older version on my old PC and loved it, but I have been using Mac a lot more now and  they don't make PSP for Mac.  Wish they did.
I'm also trying to get back into learning the photo editing programs, which would definitely be a great help in making different looking patterns.

That's a lovely texture and patern, Jancy.

On Sophia's evening dress, the texture reminds me very much of a crinkle cotton fabric - it's such a pretty effect - Sophia looks gorgeous in it.
