I think Emma Hatch is the best looking SV townie, followed very closely by Claire Ursine.  Dorie Hart was the big surprise for me though!  I think Erin Kennedy is a lost cause, though.  That was a great effort, but there isn't much that can be done with that nose, those Incredible Hulk arms and that gaping maw of hers lol.  And Sunny's eyes don't look so squinty if you don't call attention them with bright colors.  ;)

Personally, I'm just not a member of the Agnes fan club.  I'll admit it:  I've married Agnes for her money and her shiny car.  :P

Lol.  I put Emma Hatch in CAS to make her over, and they are both lovely.  Here is my Emma Hatch:

And here is my Claire Ursine:

I couldn't get Emma to stop scowling, regardless of eyebrow.  She does have a pretty eye color and mouth.  Claire has a long nose, but I think it works out for her.  I think I like Claire better because she looks a little mischievous.

Yes, when Claire is given a makeover (i.e, losing the weight and the god-awful clothes) she is quite beautiful.

Claire is pretty good looking, but I love Sunny's natural smile. I have both of them in a family of mine, but I don't have the pictures handy.

A lot of the makeovers here are really good, but I tend to think that a minimum of makeup is better, and only to accentuate their facial features. I have maybe two or three sims who wear makeup in all my games. I just don't think it looks that good on most sims.

I mainly use Natural Colours or ones that match their Skin Tone, Some Sims just need it though.  ;)

The default makeup choices that come with the game are just awful. You can download some better ones from 3rd party sites but they're still not great because of the low resolution used for makeup (can't do fine details really) and because of the facial customisation options - you might make something that looks great on the default head but when you put it on a real sim its all stretched and skewed. But a touch of gloss and some eyeliner works ok. First thing I do with townies is remove the blusher! I think the makeup on the townies must have been done by a man... possibly a blind man ;) The before shot of Madison is shocking - she has pink eyeshadow up to her eyebrows, someone else had awful yellow eyeshadow and the abuse of blusher going on around town is criminal. I can understand it in twinbrook - everyone is supposed to look terrible so you can make them better as a stylist but the sunset valley residents are supposed to be somewhat normal.

I don't think the default makeup itself is awful if you customize the colors.  You just need to make it a little more subtle so that it doesn't look like she's applying for a job at the circus.  :P

I've gone through all 16 pages of this thread and you guys are doing an amazing job!  I guess the most surprising, I forgot who did her makeover sorry, is Dorie Hart. :o  They're all really amazing...cudos y'all. :D

Agreed! It definitely takes some tweaking, but the slider at the bottom (I forget what it's called... intensity maybe?) has become a lifesaver for me. I've been doing some makeovers in the last day or so, but silly me, I forgot to take pictures. I'll try to take some tonight!

It's the opacity slider, which regulates the transparency of the colours. In my opinion it's the most important slider if you want make-up to look good, and that goes for both base-game make-up as well as CC. On 100% opacity everything just looks like it's been painted on.

Here's my makeover of Madison VanWatson.

She's married to Christopher Steel, so I should have photos of their child soon.
