Rules for This Thread

1.  No more than 10 images per post.
2.  If the images are moved or deleted from the hosting site (like Photobucket), the post will be removed with no notice.
3.  No third party content is allowed in the makeovers.  It must all be done with standard Sims 3 clothing, makeup, and hair.
4.  Only townies can be shared here.  A townie is a Sim who lives in town at the start of the game.  No CAS made Sims, no NPC Sims, and no newcomer Sims.
5.  Identify the townie with the Sim's name and the name of the town where he/she lives.

I read on Wikapedia that those sims that look ugly are actually quite pretty/handsome once you send them to the gym and give em' a makeover, so I decided to try Claire Ursine:

AFTER

Man, she IS pretty!

Post your makeovers, too!

My Gallery account hasn't been confirmed yet, but I know that this works for Agnes Crumplebottom. She looked especially good in one of Metro's dynasty attempts, I forget which (probably the last one) :)

I know Madison VanWatson in Sunset Vally was relatively unattractive, but I did a movie star there and she was a co-worker and eventually her boss.  During the course of her career, Madison lost a lot of weight, and she looked really good without a makeover.  I was shocked.  Now you got me wondering if anything can be done for Emma Hatch lol.

In legacies in Riverview, I typically wait for Laurel Grisby to age up and marry her in as the first generation mother.  She doesn't look too bad with the right hairstyle and some makeup, despite that gigantic nose of her.  The problem is that her nose appears to be an extremely dominant trait, and takes several generations to breed out.  :P  Rhoda Bagley doesn't look too bad with a bit of work, either.

I wish I had some pictures, now.

Agnes is already very pretty, but I think that if she goes to Salon, she might either look more old, or get back to her young days.

It is often surprising just what difference the right hair style can do. I find this is true in real life too not just the Sims.

So so Sydney. You did a really good job on Claire. Was it hard to do?

Well, here is one of Agnes's after pictures of her in my story.  She is a knockout, but your right, she was not ugly to begin with, she just needed some TLC. :)

No, not really. I just made a new town, since I wanted to make a single sim. Then I thought about what I read on Sims Wiki - Claire was pretty with a makeover. I just chose her household before she got preggers, sent her to the gym, and gave her a makeover. I'll update her with LN things next time I play.

Emma Hatch is also pretty cute with a little weight loss and a makeover. Personally I like the quirky looks all the townies have, but it's nice to know they've got decent genetics too.  :)

I already knew Agnes could be a knockout if she wanted to be.  But the one that really surprised me was Laurel Grisby.  I don't like breaking up virtual families unless I have to, and she was of age at the time and still single, although she was a little homely.  So I brought her in and sent her to the mirror, and that's when I realized that she's not really homely at all!  She was just an ugly duckling, waiting for her turn to become a swan lol.  But the kids for 4 generations had the Grisby nose and ears.  It was a long time before I could use short hairstyles lol.

The real test is going to be the Twinbrook townies, though.  :P

I like it when sims have interesting facial features. I dress them up a little bit, but not so they look perfect, just normal. For example, I chose Juan Darer for my Barnacle Bay because of his face. I also chose the Grisby family for that reason. Most wouldn't call them good-looking, but I call them interesting :). I gave Agnes Crumplebottom a nice makeover, but I gave her hair similar to her old one, but nicer (she'll be appearing in my next Barnacle Bay installment). Of course, I fell in love with some faces too - Serena Abe, for example, and the Angelista girls... For pics, see my story (link in siggy).
