Makeovers - Ugly to Pretty! (Townies Only)

Another makeover and this time, the lovely Ms. Jamie Jolina. I always tend to not include the before shot as I forgot to take one before the makeover. But anyways, most of us know how she looks like, with that thick eye shadow and blush and that awful lipstick shade.

So for starters, I remove all her make up and gave her a fresh one with a lighter eyeshadow from Ambitions EP, pinkish blush and matte lipstick from BaseGame. Made her more blonde with the Aurora Skies ponytail (another one of my favorites) and removed her eye glasses. Now doesn't she looks so much better.

** Note, no needles, knives, collagen and botox were used in this makeover, just a tub of Vaseline and rolls of tissue paper **




For her everyday wear, gone is that awful tank top, and jeans. Top was recolored from BaseGame, pants from the Store (part of the Victorian Fashions, I think?) shoes, also from the Store, and bracelet from Late Night, and that fingerless gloves, just to give her some edge.




I somewhat went a little gold crazy with her formal gown, from the Live Love Laugh Set, bracelet from Showtime and shoes from Late Night.




I simply adore that coat from University Life (you can see that tweed pattern again), recolored jeans from BaseGame, gloves from Showtime and booties from High End Loft. Regarding outerwear, there's really very few options to choose from, but I just went from there and work with what's available.




Jamie can now prove that beauty and brains really go well together, with a better outfit.

He wash't exactly bad to begin with, but very boring. I think he's much more handsome now!

This next make over took me almost two hours, as I wanted to give this sim an image that fits her title. A very daunting task but I'm glad I took it.

Catarina Vanderburg was the queen in Hidden Springs, yet she's a royal mess. "Your majesty, I make like that houndstooth pattern but that trench coat has got to go!!!"

Gone is that awful hair, made her blonder with the Pompadour Hair, recolored shift dress from Fifth Avenue Fashions Set. Tights and gloves from BaseGame, bracelet and shoes from Late Night. Now she's perfect for those garden parties, outdoor day weddings and such.

A queen may not run her own errands, but, you'll never know, she might wear this ensemble. That lovely Hair Up DO is from the Skylight Studio Venue, Jacket from the Sims3 STORE (forgot which collection) , skirt from Supernatural, bracelet from FastLane and BaseGame open toe flats.

Bound for Isla Paradiso for some well deserved break, she'll definitely arrive in style. Top, from the Hidden Springs Clothing Options,  jeans from Diesel Stuff, hair from the Skylight Studio Venue, Late Night bracelet and shoes...


She might be a woman of a certain age, (a few days to elder in game), I felt that I should give her a new look that's youthful, modern yet classy and still age appropriate...

I decided to makeover vampress Emelie Van Gould in Moonlight Falls. She is gorgeous under the bad braids and hot pink fishnet. I didn't modify her bone structure at all.

  I finally caved and bought Hidden Springs, and since I'm bored out of my mind waiting for Island Paradise to arrive I decided to get to know the town by making over every sim! I've only finished about nine households so far, but it's plenty of fun, and the Hidden Springs sims are all very good-looking. Note: With all adult sims, I made them young adult, because that's pretty easy to do in-game and anyway I prefer to do makeovers without worrying about wrinkles. I didn't edit any features.

For some reason I had to go with the "gangster" look. I had him lose a little weight, just to go with that look, and lost the facial hair.

Her face seemed somehow sharp to me, so I tried to go with a "softer" hairstyle and some cool, hip glasses.



Bruce Chesterfield - Before:

He was actually pretty difficult. First, of course, I had to get rid of that awful green-brown hair, then I tried to find clothes that worked for him. I know he's supposed to be outdoorsy and everything, but the High-End Loft Stuff just seemed to work really well. Grabbed him a hat, and he turned out to be quite handsome! Very Thornton Wolff-esque.

For some reason, he seemed like a complete nerd to me, so I dyed his hair black and gave him a nice nerdy makeover.

The pre-Scott absolutely terrified me, but he actually ended up being my favorite Chesterfield. I dyed his hair blonde, since I planned to dress him in brown, and he ended up as a complete rebel.

I slimmed him down a little, turned back the clock to make him a young adult, gave him a new hairstyle, and dressed him in a nice nerdy outfit. He actually turned out as just about my favorite male townie ever, with his wife Adele as my favorite female townie--but you'll see that next. Anyway, the Winterlys clean up wonderfully!

I know, the pre-Adele was absolutely terrifying. You probably don't even recognize her now! Anyway, all I did was make her a young adult and have her lose some weight, then completely change her makeup, hairstyle, and clothing. I meant to have something low-key for the hair, but then I tried out this one and just couldn't change it.

Charles kind of disappointed me. How could two such amazingly gorgeous parents have this skinny average twig of a son? He actually turned out okay--I aged him up to young adult, gave him a little muscle, and decked him out as a stylish nerd.

She actually turned out very pretty in a unique way. I think Jenny is kind of hardcore, so I tried to express that in her outfit while having a hairstyle that suits her face.



Blake (Barbie) Grayson - Before:

She was surprisingly difficult. Her face shape makes absolutely no hairstyles work, and even though she wears a ton of makeup to start with she just can't wear a lot of makeup. I'm pretty pleased with the way she turned out.

I had him lose some weight and build up some muscle, since his bio says he's a personal trainer, and tried to make his clothes and hair fit that personality. As with most Hidden Springs sims, he's a very lovely sim wrapped up in bad clothes and hair.



Christoff Colby - Before:

His bio says that he's trying to be classy, but he was trying way too hard. As we all know, if you want to be sophisticated go High-End Loft Stuff. I also got him some glasses to make him look less like a sad owl and more like an adorable sad owl.



Genevieve Colby - Before:

Poor, poor Genevieve. Saddled with Agnes hair and awful clothing before she even had the chance to live. I really did mean to make her sophisticated and classy, but then one thing led to another and she jumped off the Classy train right onto Boho station!



Lonnie Pertridge - Before:

I was seriously astonished by this one. All I did was make her a young adult and slim down, and she was beautiful! One hairstyle and outfit later with some light makeup, and I was so glad that I bought Hidden Springs, just for this moment.

I gave her a very fairy makeover, which seemed to work for her. She really is pretty with a little time on the treadmill and better makeup. And hair. And clothes.

She really turned out nicely, and probably would have been even better if I didn't feel the need to make her goth. I couldn't help it--it just seemed to fit her personality and evil eyes so well.

Is it weird that I liked Ella's evil family but Ella herself irritated me to no end? She just kept smiling, and smiling, and smiling! It was driving me insane. So, I went against all convention and decked her out in Late Night gear.

Changed the hairstyle, changed the clothes, and then realized that he was quite good-looking. Hector the artiste.
