I just downloaded this lot the other day for the purpose of using the gems in a store I am building.
The only way I could figure out how to get them into the store was to take the Sim I was using to play test the build and have her collect the gems into her inventory, then she placed them from her inventory into the store.
The problem I have (as you probably guessed already) is that when I go to upload the lot the gems are not in the lot because they belong to the test Sim I used and not the store lot.

Is there a way to get them into the Store I am building?

P.S Thanks for all your hard work into making this collection in the first place.  :)

This is great!  I love it.  I used it to make a museum that looks really cool.

Would you mind making one for metals please?  And would you mind including World Adventures, Ambitions, and Late Night in the metals if you make one as those are the expansions I have.  :)

Hi Kementari, thank you very much and there is are 2 tricks you can use to have your gems inthere. One is to mark store as residential lot, plaee the gems where you want and move out your sim marking the option to "sell the furniture". Then mark store lot as community lot - this would replace some objects unique for community lots and is not really convinient if you already have built store. Other way is to have your test Sim killed (simple aging up with testing cheatsenabled true) and that would bring you to pop up "Game over or is it?" and back to Town menu while all gems would stay where they were - that is how I managed to get fruit to stay on shelves too.
Hope this will help.

this is gret !!! love it, i used it to make a museum  :) that looks realy cool :D

world adventures,
ambitions

Thank you CJBeckett, and I am already working on ultimate collection that will include metal ores, but lately don't have much timo for it. That project is on a hiatus for now unfortunally, but hope to get to it soon :)

Hi...
Well thank you for the gems collection, but I do encounter a problem. I can't find where the chest is. I searched for it like thousand times, but still unable to find the chest. I clicked on the gem, the options that available only view, change display and cast spell (since I'm a witch with the Supernatural expansion... kinda new but still learning) ;D

By the way, how can I pick up the gems from the lot? I cannot pick up the gems. Help me please, really need the gems.

Welcome to our Forum!

The chest is at one end of the rows of gems.  You should be able to send your Sim to the lot and click on the chest.  Here is a picture from my game.

Azfarnds, if you don't have the World Adventures expansion pack, you won't be able to access the chest :)

Oooo...ok. Thanks anyway, I don't have the World Adventures expansion. Too bad...

No wonder the chest is not around. I only have the Katy Perry and Supernatural Expansion. Thank you for the response. ;D

Collecting Made Easier - With Supernatural EP
« Reply #82 on: January 17, 2014, 05:05:50 PM »
Thanks Anushka for this amazing lot! I tried to create it myself, got a good way into it but began to struggle. I got all of the skull cuts and spire cuts, but had difficulty with the polished split cuts.

A tip to Collecting: If you own the Supernatural Expansion Pack and play as a werewolf, collecting is so much easier. As your skill develops as a werewolf, you can even chose what you would like to hunt for: Gems, Metals or Bugs. Werewolves find some very rare items. If you can't be bothered to go abroad with WA or search your world, this would be a great option.  :)

I like to know how you managed to get gems cut in cut-styles they don't support in the options

on your display shot you have all the gems in spire-cut and polished_split-cut
and the tiberium ,geode and septarian-nodule in all other cuts

interesting, but how?
