Now if only they would give me the baby on a grill interaction.  ;D
As in, "I'll have the leg"??
My sim would be fiendishly delighted.
I do not follow that conversation at all...

Sarah, give it a try in your base game.  It might have always been there and I just didn't know it.  Just put both toddlers to playing at the same blocks table and watch their conversation bubbles and see if you get the relationship plus signs.

Make certain that you have taught them to talk before following Pam's suggestion though.

Oh, yes!  Good suggestion.  I don't know if they would do it before they know how to talk.

Which is probably true as it would be like the game designers to have these demands, but how close to reality is really this? For instance, I could jabber away and 'talk' about actual, concrete (yes, I know that it was real conversations for sure, don't ask me how) things with my twin brother years before I learned how to talk (I was a very late talker).

Those are definitely cute interactions! I didn't notice them til around generations, but I've only been playing the Sims for one or two years. Now here's something different I saw...
My sim child was at school and was invited to her friend, ole' Sam Sekemento's house. At his house, this is actually kinda funny, poor Yumi had three nooboos and a child on her hands. (Thanks to Twallans Story Progression mod, Tamara Donner and Leighton had gotten married and had three kids with another on the way.) In a baby crib, was an infant and with my child sim, I clicked the nooboo and it had "pick up" as an option, but it was greyed out because my sim wasn't very well acquainted with the family. Hmph. So, does this mean children can hold infants? Well, to continue my research, I had her go home and I clicked her own infant sister, but no interactions available. Strange...

I've been simming for nearly three years and I had no idea that children and toddlers could interact this way :-[
