Birthday Package

As anyone else received this from EA? I got it yesterday and it is soo cute..  Today is my birthday and it was a gift from them ..

That is awesome you got that.  I had my birthday a little while ago and did not receive one.  I even called EA in anticipation to make sure they had my birthday correct because I wanted the set.  It has been posted on the forum before about the special birthday items but I was unable to find it.  I will look more later.

EA has been gifting this out since August, 2010.  I posted about it here with a picture.  Please see reply #13.
In September, 2010 they were still working on making these available to international players as up until then it was for US players only.  I never heard anything more if they were able to do that or not.  My friend received this set in October on her birthday and she really loved it.

To register I think you need to go to 'my page/ my account/ site preferences' and make sure you have the box checked saying you want to receive emails from the Sims 3/EA.  You might also just open an account with EA itself as I am not really sure where the emails come from.  I don't remember entering in my birthdate, but I registered with EA many years ago. 

Then, on your birthday, you will receive an email from EA that says:

Happy Birthday from The Sims!
Celebrate your Birthday in style with this EXCLUSIVE FREE* Birthday Set from The Sims™ 3 Store! Download the Birthday Set by following these easy steps:
• Step 1: Click on the "Redeem Code Now" button below to visit The Sims 3 Store website (a new browser window will open)
• Step 2: On The Sims 3 Store website, click on the "Login" link near the top of the page, enter your login information, and click the "Log In" button
• Step 3: Allow the web page to refresh after you log in, and then click on the "My Account" tab on the left-hand side of the page
• Step 4: On the "My Account" page, click on "Redeem a Code" and enter the coupon code below

Thanks for providing the info, my emails are deleting quickly, go figure, LOL... but this package is just so neat, much better then the party balloons already in the game

Welcome to the forum yendry.  The only thing I got on my birthday was a code to get 25% off at the EA store.  I have never gotten anything from anywhere else.

Is there a redeem code?  If you read a little further up, mtglady explains how to redeem the code.

Happy belated Birthday to you yendry and welcome to the forum!  Saltypaws, I'm sorry you didn't get the Birthday Package because it really is cute.

yendry, once you follow the steps above to redeem your code, the Birthday Package should show up in your game as four separate items.  I know the balloons are found in the party objects section and I think the bear is with the children's toys. 
 
If you can't find them in-game, then log into your Purchase History page and re-download the package.

That post from sdhoey was from February when we could still use the old hosting service.  I was thinking the same thing, but wasn't it disabled anyway where we cannot use it anymore?

Thanks SaltyPaws, Yes Pam that post was from Feb. I have not figured out the new in house thingy yet, so i use photobucket now. I don't know how you keep up with all these post on here. You have a better mind then I do.

Im excited about this.  My birthday is Wednesday.  Hope to get the email, I know I have the box checked for it.  Only thing that will be better would be if on the 2nd, a sweet new set is added to the store.
