How To: Steal books in France

Well, I found a strange exploit (that I haven't seen yet on the forum, anyway).  I don't know how repeatable it is, maybe someone could try it out and find out?

I sent a sim to France for a variety of tasks.  She set up her tent in the market place, in the room next to the bookshop.  She went by to read a couple of books from the nearby bookshelves.  Rather than finding a chair, she went into her nearby tent to read them.  After a few books, I noticed that they were appearing in her inventory.



Sure enough, when I returned home, the books were still in my inventory, ready to be sold for a tidy profit.

lol awesome! I wonder if it still works under the current patch. And to think I'd steal them one at a time buy making sure my sim was reading when the holiday ended...

I think, in terms of the base camp, France only has one book you can steal.  I know China has a bunch, but I've never actually noticed if there is a bookcase in the Egypt basecamp.  Mostly because I don't go toe Egypt that often.

No, there isn't a bookcase in the Egypt base camp.

I've had Sims camp in the middle of the market square and read books, but they always return the books to the bookshelf.  I guess my Sims are just too law-abiding!

I assume you can let sims read books, and when they put them back on a table instead of the bookcage you can drag it to their inventory.
Though to moral conflicts with myself I've never tried this.
