How do I get rid of the firetruck in late night

After reaching level 10 as a firefighter my sim decides to change career, but where she goes she rides on the fire truck, how do I get rid of the firetruck?  Tried deleting it but the next time she went somewhere the it was...

Does the firetruck show up in her inventory where you can drag it to the sell spot?  Other suggestions would be to park the firetruck, then use testing cheats to delete it.  Or put it in family inventory.

If by all means you have to get rid of that firetruck, as if it would end the world if you didn't delete it, you should make sure to leave the firefighter profession to then delete it. Otherwise, simply dragging it into a Big Parking Space (it's the only parking space that fits it) and then using something like Detonate (Inventing interaction) or testingcheatsenabled true to shift+click and Object>Delete it.
