Stylist Reward - Stylist Key to the City
« on: February 12, 2011, 05:48:15 AM »
Hi, I managed to get a stylist to level 10, as a Fashion Phenomenom. Can't remember how many days after the promotion, but my character then got a chance to go to an Awards ceremony at the City Hall. Didn't see any mention of this in the guide, so thought I should maybe flag it up. Only information I have on this:

- It came a few days after my sim became a Fashion Phenomenon.
- It gave her a "Neighbourhood Hero" Moodlet (4 days, +50).
- The ceremony was on a Sunday around 12 noon.
- It looked a lot like a political protest.

Some pictures are below:

Reaching the City Hall.

Local Rep gives her congratulations.

Cheering Crowds.

The Key itself.

Not got much other information on this I'm afraid... Was getting rather annoyed at the Stylist profession by the time I finished it. :P

You can get this occasionally with all of the Ambitions professions - Private Investigator, Firefighter, Architect, Stylist - upon reaching some point. For P.I., after being promoted to level 10 (Private Eye), you get the same Key to the Town + the moodlet. I think it's the same for all the careers One of my Sims got this 3-4 days after being promoted to level 10 Firefighter. And this is not a political protest, it's a celebration. And the woman that gave you the key is the mayor of the town.
Well, that's your opinion, isn't it? And I'm not about to waste my time trying to change it. - Lady GaGa

Aha, right. Yeah, I knew it wasn't a political protest, which is why I said it looked like one.  :)

Thanks for the extra info! ^^

You're very welcome.  :)
The only difference between this and the protest is that in the latter sims blame the government (which logically means the player - you), and in the former they honor you;)

Nice stuff for recording this. I am almost sure that it was for you to do a sertant amount of extra make overs after reaching level 10 in the Stylist profession to unlock the Key To The City, as that is what you've got.
I wish I knew how to unlock a political protest though. I really do. :(

This may be a bad idea, but maybe you could cheat so that your sim reaches the top of his/her profession , take a video from behind (so you cannot see the images on the boards) and have a few neurotic sims freak out at the same time? It would be very hard to arrange though. :)
