Selfishly, I'd like a range, in different styles, at or below the starter funds (without money cheats) for a single sim, a pair of sims and family sims (ie two bedrooms, maybe furnished for a baby/toddler or child).  Something different and special to move my newly created sim(s) into.

A range? Hmmm, I have one build months ago. I will upload it once, when my computer is connected again. If I remember it still at that time I will let you know.

@ Gheez: I have a under $16,500 starter home I built for Aria's contest on the Exchange here. I also have a child friendly one for under $30,000 here. I keep meaning to email Carl with my houses for the Swap Shop but keep forgetting and/or being distracted by playing the game. :P

2.  The complete range of Late Night bars in a form that would fit in better with the other neighbourhoods.

I think this would be a fantastic idea.  In fact, I've been considering starting just such a project myself.  But as I'm relatively new to Late Night, I'm not all that clear on what all the different lot types actually are.

I have seen that Dive Bars don't have areas that require celebrity status access to enter, and a Vampire Lounge does require celebrity status, unless you're a vampire.  And I believe that a Poolside Club is a bar with a pool that may or may not require celebrity status.  But I don't know what the difference between a Fusion Lounge, an Exclusive Lounge or a Sports Bar is, because they all have exclusive areas from what I've seen.  Likewise, I'm not sure what the difference between a Dance Club and a Disco Club is.  And how are any of these different from a Local Watering Hole?

@ gerrr00 - no, it's thank you for sharing them.

@Ausette - really like the sound of your Buckthorn Cabin, looking forward to exploring it in-game and also looking forward to seeing your starter apartment.

@Leto85 - am also looking forward to seeing your house.

@lilygirl - thank you for those links. Loving the tree with the slide in the garden of Sunshine Cottage.

Looks like I have some downloading to do.  Three more new houses to play with :D

@Hosfac - I'm not sure if this thread will help provide you with the answers you need about the various bars and dance clubs:  http://www.carls-sims-3-forum.com/index.php/topic,2383.10.html.  Hope so.

Ah I see.  The difference appears to be the drinks that they serve.  But I think I'll do a bit more research and see what more I can come up with.

Edit:  Not only do they serve different drinks, but they attract and repel different types of sims.

Sims Wiki has some very interesting articles on the 3 different types of Late Night lots:

Bars:  http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Bar
Clubs:  http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Club
Lounges:  http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Lounge

Looks like we've got a brand new Swap Shop up and running, in board form! Perhaps we should transfer this thread there? We're all going to need some inspiration if we want the shop to expand, and there are some excellent ideas here that I'd like to see created and submitted to the site.

Oh and Hosfac, I've just uploaded my apartment building here if you want it.  ;)

If I'm alloud, I have made a video some few months back where I've build a sort of terrace house in The Sims 3. You may will be interested or inspired to start one on your own.

Yes, I really like the style of it and the landscaping is beautiful.  That is something I really need to get the hang of.  Really, it's the only reason I haven't tried the architectural designer profession.

Ok, I'm getting confused.  So we just upload our stuff to the exchange and put a link in this forum so folks can download it?  I wonder what Carl is going to do with the hundreds of items I sent him.  Ok, maybe not quite hundreds.  Nope, it's hundreds.

Any official word on patterns?  A lot of the things I do contain patterns from the exchange.  I only download patterns and hair colors from there.

I just remodeled the Grind and made the Red Rendevous from Twinbrook into a sports bar.

EDIT:  I just re-read Carl's instructions for posting to the board and am more confused than ever.  It does seem that NO patterns that we did not create ourselves will be allowed, which totally ruins most of what I have done since I've downloaded several patterns that I doubt can be made in Pattern Maker.  At this point I don't even remember what is EA game material and what is download since I have so very many patterns.

I am not sure if we are supposed to make our own thread with our names, as some have done, (Ausette, Geez, etc.), to post our stuff in or if we are supposed to post things under the headings already set up.  For instance, if we have a Sim should we post it in that thread or in one with our name?  I'd like to post some Sims, since my remodels can't be shared except via the exchange because they have downloaded patterns in them in the wall papers.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

Joria, the way I understood the set up of the new Swap Shop board is this: we post our creations under the proper child board. Then, if you want to, you can start a thread for your own creations, like I've done, as a way for people find groups of creations more easily.

The way to upload your creations is super easy I've found, and leaves out the official Sims 3 Exchange completely!

What you do is head into the child board where your creation fits, Sims, for example if you want to post a Sim. Then you create a new thread and title it according to Carl's guideline: Sim - [Name]. Then you type up a short descriptive post (following Carl's guideline for mandatory information) with pictures just like any other post on the forum. When the post is to your satisfaction (I like to preview it) don't hit "post" just yet, instead click on "Additional Options" at the bottom left of the posting text box. Then click the "Browse" button to the right of the Attach text box and find your creation inside your computer: for Windows look under C:/Users/your name/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Exports. Then select the .Sims3pack file you want to attach and click open. The route to the file should now be displayed in the Attach text box beneath your post. Click on "Post" and wait. It can take a while to post but it will happen.

As for patterns, I don't know as I haven't touched the Exchange in months, and I play on a Mac so no CAP for me. Maybe a PM to Carl or Pam or Metro might be necessary to clear up the patterns concern. I haven't read an official word on that front yet.

Feel free to PM me if you need more help, I'd be happy to help.

@lilygirl - Just thought I'd mention, I use a Mac and Create A Pattern tool works fine.
If I remember correctly there was a CAP download for PC and one for Mac.

Oh yes, that's right, thanks for the correction, Jancy! It's CAW that hasn't been programmed for Macs.

Yes your correct, we can't get CAW-I really wish they would come out with the Mac version!

You just made this much easier.  Now why could I understand your words and not Carl's?  Going to try to upload a starter home.  Two actually.  I made a row of three on 10x15 lots but the third one isn't finished yet.  I removed any downloaded patterns just to be safe.
