So I came back to the forum, and one of the first things I do is pull up this Dynasty and start reading it, right from the beginning. It was a wonderful story, beautifully told, and made me wish I'd been around when you first finished it. Either way, I'm awed that you managed so much within a few months of owning the game, and I'm amazed at what you have accomplished.

Congrats Kat, it was a heck of a ride.
The Pendragon Randomacy. My new, and hopefully long-term, story for Carl's forum. Following Anita Pendragon: The Runaway.

Don't let the writing part of it hold you back - you don't have to tell a story or even post pictures if you don't want to.  I kept telling myself I couldn't possibly do this challenge because I only had played TS3 for a month when I started it - I'm so glad I ignored that little negative voice that was trying to hold me back.

You don't have to make a story. If you look in the dynasty hall of fame, there is at least one person that hasn't made a story. It's just that a lot of people choose to.
Don't worry if you think your writing is terrible. I know that my writing is terrible but I'm still writing a story about my dynasty.

As Sportsfan said, there isn't any requirement to make a story out of your dynasty.

One thing you'll find around here is that everyone is very supportive of each other, so you don't have to be self-conscious of your writing.  No one here will pick on you or criticize you and no one will compare you to anyone else.  You just have to be you - that is plenty good enough!

...Wow! I've just spent the last couple of days reading through this thread and I have to tell you how much I loved this story.
Your writing made it a very interesting, easy read. That's amazing, since you didn't add any unnecessary drama, there was no soap-opera story line, just great writing. I absolutely loved every second of it :) Congratulations (although a bit belated) on finishing your dynasty! Well, I'm off to read your second Dynasty story.

Thank you for all the kind comments - my dynasty was heavily inspired by Pam's Dreamweaver Immortal Dynasty - I read through it and just knew I had to give it a go.

@AdnaanA - I had to go back through it, but I think you are correct.  I never had her get a makeover, she did one on herself - but perhaps this still has the same effect.  I got so caught up in the story telling that I must have overlooked that point.  I will definitely check with Metro on this.  Hopefully it will not invalidate my attempt because she got married 1 day after her YA birthday and earned her ambrosia with plenty of time to spare, so if she truly did gain 1 day because of my mistake it would not have changed the outcome.  She still would have had plenty of time to complete her requirements and earn her ambrosia before Grim came.  Thank you for your sharp eyes and for bringing this to my attention.  :)
