"become a buisness partner" problem on PS3
« on: February 09, 2011, 09:53:19 AM »
I finally saved enough cash to buy a partnership in one of the businesses on the PS3.  I bought a partner in the Bakery, the info panel showed up and said to come by every week to pick up my share, or to buy the company.  I waited a week, wentback and it didn't have an option to collect any money.  Thinking I might have messed up, I chose "become a partner" again, waited a week and this time I got a small amount of cash and thought everything was working fine.  Went back a week later and again, the only option was to "become a partner".  I decided spending $6,000 dollars (twice) to get $850 (once) was a bit of a rip off and have not since tried to become a partner in any buisness.  I did not save the game between between becoming a partner (twice) and getting the first check.  I did however save and reload before going back again and finding out I was not partner once more.

Is there anyone else with this issue or an idea of how to fix it?

Thanks.

Hmm, this may very well be connected to your inventory problem in the other thread you made. If you lose the deed to the businesses, the game may treat you like a non-owner. You shouldn't need to become partner several times.

I don't know how to fix the inventory issue though, it's seems really weird to me. However, let's take that discussion over in the proper thread; there may be a different solution to this problem that someone can come up with. :)

It may be related to the inventory issue, they happened around the same time.  I didn't think I received a deed for becoming a partner, I didn't advance to buying the buisness as the first step didn't work out so well.  But I didn't think to check my inventory afterward either, thought the game would keep track.

What thread would you recommend?  I didn't know how well some bugs would correlate between the console and PC versions.

Me neither, I play both PC and PS3 versions and I haven't heard of this issue. Perhaps someone passing by here knows a similar thread?
