Wow Thornton. He is gorgeous.  Did you get rid of his grey streaks - it looks like it in the wedding pics.  The reason I ask is that someone I knew had a child of Thornton's.  When he grew up, the son was a bit of a lad and had a lot of children and almost all of his children had that hair. ;D

I used him in the Smith dynasty he made a good spouse once I got rid of his dislikes children trait.

Rachel
Thornton will have no choice but to have at least one child. And probably have to take care of it since I sent Charlotte off to work. :P They had a mutual agreement before the wedding that they had to at least have one child to carry on their beautiful traits.

Nice start!

Congratulations Charlotte, for managing to get past Thornton's commitment issues (and sideburns) like I couldn't.  :D
He was quite stubborn. The trick is to make him your best friend first before you use any flirting social interactions :P

Yeah I did, I didn't want him to seem too much older :P And if any of his children have those grey streaks they are headed to the barber shop to get it dyed!

Congratulations on the wedding :)
Thanks!!

Using compliment appearance and compliment personality works well too. I never got rid of his grey streaks and none of his descendants had the streaks. There again none of his descendants had his hair colour at all.

Hm..well maybe they'll get Charlotte's hair :P
Which I'd have to say Thornton looks rather dashing in just one hair color!

Okay I know in the earlier posts I had chapters.. But now I've changed my mind cause I can't keep track of them :P
Anyways, back to the story!

That afternoon after their wedding, Charlotte and Thornton set off to some hardcore skill learning.
Thornton enjoyed an afternoon of painting on his new wedding present from his wifey: The Easel

It's all work and no play in the Radcliff household for awhile..

Charlotte decided to read a cooking book rather than stuff the fridge full of food that the two of them would never eat.

That night after all their hard work, they decided to have some fun and they accidentally produced some chimes.
The next few days Charlotte did not feel good and puked every couple hours.

Charlotte:" Gosh, I really need to learn how to cook..I keep getting food poisoning!"
Thornton: " Let's hope its food poisoning..You know how I feel about children.."

Well, it turns out that she really was pregnant..She was happy to have a little Radcliff growing inside of her tummy. But she knew Thornton did not really like children..So she kept it a secret for as long as she could..

Charlotte could not keep her secret for long. Once she hit her third trimester there was no mistake that she was pregnant.
So, she finally decided to talk to Thornton about it.

Charlotte: " Thornton, honey dear..I have something to tell you..."
Thornton: " Yes, what is it?"
Charlotte: " I'm uhh.. I'm pregnant.."
Thornton: " I knew as much..When do you want to start going to Weight Watchers? I hear there's a meeting at City Hall every Wednesday at 5 pm. I need to loose some poundage too"
Charlotte: " THORNTON..I'm not getting fat..I'm P-R-E-G-N-A-N-T"
Thornton: " You're what?! Charlotte how could this happen? You know how I feel about children.."
Charlotte: " I'm sorry..
"*sniffles* "You don't have to worry about it..I will take care of the little one..You don't have to do anything I promise..just let me keep the baby please.."

Thornton just stared at his wife as she started to cry again. He didn't want to see her this way, but he couldn't help it that he didn't like kids right? He reasoned with himself that maybe he could just tolerate the little one if he gave them a chance..He just didn't want to see her so distraught.

Thornton: " Charlotte, my love..I'm sorry you felt like I wouldn't want to take part in the most joyous part of our journey together. I promise you won't have to take care of the babe alone. I will put aside my fear and love the child just as much as I love you." (this is the part where the audience says "awww" and starts to cry right?)

Thornton fulfilled part of his promise to Charlotte by making sure she had the top quality of prenatal care and also spendt time with the child by feeling Charlotte's tummy.

One night while they were in bed around 3 am Charlotte's water broke. This soon lead to increased contractions and intense pain.
Thornton didn't know if he was ready yet to take on the role of "Daddy-o" but he really had no choice in the matter now did he?

He then rushed Charlotte to the Hospital in hopes that the child would be born sooner. He hated to see his wife in pain and wished for it all to just be over.
Thornton's wish was granted and in one short hour, Bailey Radcliff was born.

Thornton never knew that a child could bring so much happiness into his life. He had always thought that all they did was eat, cry and poop and then cry, poop and eat. Turns out there's so much more to parenting!

Thornton loved every minute he spent with his daughter Bailey. Charlotte had to literally steal her away from Thornton just to get in some mommy time.
Looks like Bailey will be a Daddy's girl after all..

Welcome little Bailey! (that's such a neat name for a girl)
Thank you! Yeah, I really like that name for some reason. It fist her perfectly!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The night that little Bailey was born was definitely an eventful one.
Charlotte was cooking up some mac 'n cheese and the fireplace caught on fire!
Thornton was outside working on some sculptures and heard the fire alarm go off.

Thornton fought off the flames with his handy fire extinguisher that he pulled out of his back pocket. It took several hours, but Thornton's only goal was to keep his family safe. He succeeded in putting the fire out right as the firemen came bursting through the doors..

Time went by way too fast for Charlotte and Thornton.
They had enjoyed Bailey as a baby, but now it was time for her to grow up into another stage of life: TODDLERISM!

Partygoers: " HAPPY Birthday to youuu, Happy Birthday to Bailey..."

Bailey grew up well and kept her parents busy chasing her around the house.

She was definitely quite a character and looked a lot like her daddy :)

Her favorite pastime was playing with her dollyhouse.
She had perfected her own system of talking in gibberish to the dolls and then chewing off all their heads.

A couple days after Bailey's birthday it was Thornton's turn!

Charlotte had decided when Bailey was born that she would be the artist of the family. She would be the one to complete the portraits and the sculptures. So, she started teaching the kid early by reading " Finger Painting 101" and various other learning books.

Charlotte still had not told Thornton of the letter she had gotten at the hospital or all the things Alexander had told her. She hadn't told him the plans she had for Bailey or the reason why he was forced to quit his job to paint and sculpt. Nor had she told him about all the past memories that kept fluttering through her brain...She knew she had to tell him soon.
