Just got caught up on your story, Salty.  What a fun ride!

Daaawwww...

@Simstar:  I see you saying this quite a lot here on the Forum.  (And some others say it, too.)  My curiosity has gotten the better of me and I have to ask.  Where did you pick up "dawwwww?"  I've always seen and written "awwww," so I'm wondering where the "D" came from, how it was picked up and added.

I know I'm not simstar, but I think it's quite common for younger people to say 'dawww' and 'nawww'. I think it's just something that's caught on in the past few years. I know I used to say 'nawww' about 4 years ago instead of 'awww'.
I'm not exactly sure how it started though.

In English, "naw" is sort of a slang/casual word for "no."  For example:  "Do you want to come with us?"  "Naw, I'll stay home."  It could possibly be mostly in the southern U.S. that it's used like that.  I hadn't seen "dawww" until just the last few weeks when I noticed Simstar saying it.  Now I've noticed a couple of others on the Forum who say it.

I read a comment on deviantART saying "daaawww", and I kind just started using it.

Oh okay. I've never heard 'naw' used that way in Australia, but I think I've heard it in movies where the American's have really strong southern accents :D
In Australia, if you said naw (at least in Victoria), most people would think you mean "aww".

Haha!  It must be a southern U.S. thing then.  I've lived in Texas almost all my life, so it's very common for me to hear and use it.

Now when I see/hear someone say 'nawww', I'm going to think of someone with a southern American accent saying 'no' :D

I think stuff like that spreads from one to another.  I too use to use the word "naw".  My family were hillbillies to the core.  Just like "woot".  Quite a while back, I saw one person use it and now quite a few are using it. :)

The days following Agnes death was kind of a blur and so much has happened.  I lost a wife and gained a fiance' and a baby boy.  Too much too soon.  Jessica took her moms death pretty hard and has made it her mission to help Monica take care of little Joslin.

In the mean time, Jessica had her adult birthday and she is quite lovely, us Redhouse men don't make ugly babies, ya know.

Agnes has already made a few appearances.  I have seen her out by our favorite place many times.

She seems restless and she haunts things, like the swingset, I don't think she ever liked that thing anyway.

Jolina is quite the charmer and very smart, she plays chess whenever she is done with homework and that is where you will find her at any given time.

You can imagine my surprise when I woke up one morning to someone napping in my bed.

She stayed around for quite some time that day and I saw her in the garden and had to talk to her and hold her, even if it was for the last time.

Agnes was an amazing woman and despite her death, she still is. She told me to follow my heart and told me, she knew towards the end she was not what I had wanted her to be.  She didn't blame me for seeking another woman, but she understood and just wants me to be happy.  With that she vanished and I have not seen her since.

Soon it was time for Joslin's birthday and what an amazing child she is and gorgeous.  She looks just like her mother.

She has already mastered the writing skill in no time, it is awesome to watch her work.  Monica has been behaving for now and I feel very guilty in the thoughts that I had just a few weeks ago, but this is my daughter and no matter what, I will try to except her the way she is.  I just hope the new Monica will last.  I kinda like her around now.

Congrats on the lovely girls!  I hope Joslin only inherited Monica's looks.

Just like "woot".  Quite a while back, I saw one person use it and now quite a few are using it. :)

Woot is gamer slang expressing happiness or excitement and is really common in MMO games.  I've been playing World of Warcraft for years so I use woot alot (I watch myself pretty carefully because I've accidentally used it at work.   :-[ )

I agree - they look like they could be sisters, not just cousins.

Happy birthday Joslin and Jolina! I surely hope the new Monica stays too, I didn't care for the old one much lol.
