Sorry that I haven't updated in a little while - I've been studying for my education course and now I've started a German online course, so I've been busy! But I'll probably get to play a bit on the weekend :)

School is more important than sims. Good luck with your studies!

No worries, good luck. :) Finish studying, and then only get back to Sims! Yep, I agree, weekend is just the time for an update. ;D

Okay, my game is crashing about every 15 minutes.
I have a feeling that my house is too big, or at least it has too much stuff in it.

I think I might re-do the whole house from scratch. I have enough money too (I think). So an update might be a few days away, depending on how long it takes to redo the house.

I'm so sorry game is starting to give you a hard time, specially in a period when you don't have much time to deal with it. Story is wonderfull, and I'm waiting for the update.
PS I also had a spouse (Zelda) to be first Sim that I played till death, and felt bad about it. And also needed  some rationalisation for it in a story. Luckily game gives us a chance to revive them ;))

Thanks Esther and Anushka.
I'm just starting to put the furniture in my house now. It's a third of the size of the previous house, but it has more bedrooms! I hope this will make it run much better :)

Here are some shots of my newly built house. I was just about to take some photos of the inside, when my game crashed.
This house is roughly a third of the size of my previous house. I cut out over 200 items and made the rooms significantly smaller. I also upgraded the yard. It's not too great, but I tried :D

The outside, at the front (there's also now a few plants in the entry too):

The fishing pond (the garden in the background is completely gone):

The martial arts area:

The party area and the pool (again, the garden in the background was removed):

The shack that leads down to the nectary and the immortal museum, and Mercury's garden:

I'll upload some pictures of the inside tomorrow, and hopefully have an update too :)

Awesome house!!! I know how it feels with you game crashes. I had been playing about 2 hours in and it decided to crash and I forgot to save :(
The yard looks awesome too! I love how you used the hedges around it to make little compartments for the pond, & martial arts  :D
I know when my game crashed I took out some big items like the fish tank you can put in a wall, got rid of my big fountain and some sculptures. It seemed to help it out a bit. Also not having the pond on site might help too :)

Thanks Kattiq ;D
I might remove the pond when Luna has finished supermaxxing fishing. I won't have a need for it after that.

Sounds like a plan. Mine still crashes now and then so still remember to save often. It just quit crashes every 10 minutes after I removed all that stuff :)

Thanks ChronicR!
I'm always so hesitant to post things like renovations on here, because I'm not as good as a lot of the other builders on the forum. It's really nice to hear positive feedback :)

And Kattiq, I'm hoping that this will stop the crashes from happening as frequently. They were happening so much that I wasn't able to really play for long at all, and definitely couldn't get an update for my dynasty.

That explains the long delay! ;D

Great job on the renovation - can't wait to see the inside!!!  Please don't sell your building abilities short or hesitate to share what you've created.  The people who faithfully read and comment on your dynasty aren't judging your work - we're enjoying it - and you never know who might be inspired by it.  Plus, if something isn't coming out exactly the way you envisioned it, post a pic and ask for advice.  There are a number of uber-builders/landscapers who seem to be generous with their time and knowledge.

I hope the game stops crashing as I'm excited for the next update!
