You've done a great job raising your triplets, Alexandria!
You've played too much TS3 when ... your 13 month old's babble sounds like Simlish!

I crawled under my bed and retrieved the book.
As always, when I touched it, the book seemed to shimmer with power.
The book had told me that it would become invisible to any mere mortal. But I wasn't just a mere mortal. I was Mercury - I was Hermes - sent to Earth to prevent the evil of Hades.
It still didn't sound right in my mind, but I felt it to be true.

I read through the book another time, although I already knew the words off by heart. The book was mesmerizing.

I looked up and realised I'd been sitting and contemplating the book for well over half the day. It was getting dark, and I needed to tell Agnes all that the Grim Reaper had told me.

I walked up to Agnes and told her I had something important to tell her.
I explained what I had heard; what I needed to do.

She just giggled.
Agnes: You already told me all about the dynasty - I wasn't even aware you had changed your mind.
Mercury: Yes, but now it has a purpose.
Agnes: And a very good purpose at that. I'm proud to call my husband 'Mercury the messenger of the Gods'.
Mercury: Just call me Hermes.
Agnes: Uh.. no. I think I'll stick with Mercury.
Mercury: Fine.. suit yourself.
Agnes: Merc... you really do need to tell the kids. Jupiter needs to know what responsibilities are being laid onto her.
Mercury: I know Agnes, I know. But they're just children. Let's wait until they grow up just a little bit.

And growing up is just what they did.
Before long, the triplets were teenagers.

Jupiter is a snob that hates the outdoors. She's artistic and quite a savvy sculptor.

Orion is a loner that loves the outdoors. He likes fishing and still acts like a child.

Aries is a vegetarian, and like his sister he hates the outdoors and is quite artistic and a savvy sculptor.

The three kids spend most their time apart, working on different projects.
Jupiter spends her time sculpting, Orion fishes in our walled-in fishing enclosure and Aries paints.

For now I let them be. I don't want to burden my children too soon, but I know the day will come when I will have to let them know; and that day was approaching fast.

Thank you :)
I'm a big fan of big eyes. I'm really glad she got her dads eyes.
In my game, Agnes is an elder now and her eyes got extremely small when she aged up. It kind of surprised me.

Triplets are a handful.  I would imagine in a dynasty it is even harder, not only do you have to let one go, you have to let two go.  That is tough all the way around. I love following your story. :)

Thanks Salty :)
Yes, triplets were such a handful. Amongst the three of them, one always needs attention.
At least Jupiter didn't have to grow up alone, and had the company of her brothers.

I sat down in the lounge room as I waited for the kids.
The day had come.

They sat down and watched me as I tried to find the words to say what needed to be said.
I stumbled over my words, but once I had started, the words came easy. The triplets listened intently to every word I said.

Orion: So what you're saying dad, is that you've been sent by the Gods to rid the world of evil?
Mercury: More or less - yes.
Orion: Okay... are you right in the head dad...?

Maybe it wasn't as easy as I thought it was.
I pulled the book from my bag and placed it on the table.

Mercury: This is the book. The book that contains the secret of immortality. Orion, touch it.
Orion reached out his hand, and to his amazement, the book disappeared.
Mercury: Aries, you try and touch it.
Aries placed his hand on the book, and again, it disappeared.
Mercury: Now Jupiter, you try.
Jupiter reached out and picked up the book. It shimmered with power, but was clearly visible.

The three kids sat in awe. There was no question that they now believed what I had told them.

Mercury: But this means..
Aries cut in.
Aries: That Orion, mum and I will pass away while you and Jupiter live on...
I nodded. Orion and Aries looked at one another.
Aries: Dad, whatever happens, we're family. If it needs to be done, it will be done.
I looked at Orion.
Orion: I'm with Aries. We're family.
I looked at Jupiter. She just nodded.

They now all knew. And we could do this. We would do this. And we would do it as a family.
