My name is Luna. Luna Copernicus.


Skilled fisher-woman, and Vice Principal of The School for the "Gifted"... if that's what you call kids that don't believe that we're living at the mouth of hell.

Most people think I'm crazy. I think I'm realistic.
Mum sometimes points out a floating man in a black hood, and tells me he's the Grim Reaper. But he's not. He's just a crazy guy collecting dead people.
The Grim comes and visits me every now and then. Evil being, he is. He tells me that if there's eight immortals in the house, he'll claim as all as his slaves for eternity. He says once we've claimed the status of being immortal in this world, when we give up that title, we're immortal in the underworld. Our souls will never have peace.

I have a boyfriend, Alejandro Ernst. He moved to Sunset Valley with his parents when we were in high school. We had to break it off for a little while, because I was his teacher, and those kinds of relationships are illegal.

When I called him up the other day, he told me that he had a surprise. He told me to wait where we shared our first kiss. So I stood in the backyard, by the stereo, and waited.
A short time later, a man walked in. It was Alejandro, all grown up. But what was with his hair - was he insane?
I grabbed his hand and told him that if he were to be with me, there'd be no craziness on his behalf, or from his hair. He just smiled and said "Yes, dear", and pulled me into a kiss.


His kiss made me dizzy. His smile made me lose my breath. The stars were shining, and so were his eyes. I knew this was the moment. I got down on one knee and proposed.


Of course, he said yes. He said that he'd been waiting for this day since our early high school years. So had I.


I took him to the mirror at once, and fixed up his hair and clothes. After changing his creep hair, he scrubbed up very nicely.




We saw no sense in waiting, and arranged the wedding for the next morning. We invited my family, his parents Fabian and Adria, and a few close friends.
I felt so proud to walk up the isle to this man; to my almost-husband.


And said our personal vows, and exchanged our rings.
"I, Alejandro Ernst, promise to watch over you, be there for you, hold you, cherish you and love you until death do us apart"
"I, Luna Copernicus, promise to watch over you, fix your hair when it looks crazy, steer you away from the Grim and stop you from reproducing and dooming us all. Oh, and love you too, of course. Until this crazy family of mine doom us all to be slaves in hell for eternity."


And then Alejandro kissed the bride. The luckiest bride in the world.



It was the happiest day of my life. Not only had I married the man of my dreams, but for once, everyone believed in me. They stood there sobbing into their tissues, sighing with their hands over their hearts and smiling up at me as though I was equal. I wasn't silly, insane Luna. I was a beautiful young woman.
