I am not quite clear on if this is Console or PC because on PC you never get the 'Rest of the family will be Deleted'?

Welcome Locx.  Is English your first language?

Also, please make the title of your thread more specific to the kind of help you need.  Just saying "Help me" doesn't tell people very much when they're scanning the boards.  You may want to take another look at the Forum Rules.  The link is in my signature at the bottom.

I've heard of this issue and you can apparently not have several different households in the same town. You have to choose which one you want to have and delete the remaining sims when you move.

What you could do is to save the sims to the library and then re-use them in a later save, although then you would lose a large part of the game with them: Relationships would be reset; jobs and lifetime happiness too I'd imagine. The family tree would disappear as well.

I never tried this before but I did find out what the "Story Mode" option does. It lets all inactive sims age and continue to progress in whatever they are doing. I think I read this for the PC version but if you turn "Story Mode" off then inactive sims will apparently not move out of town. I really don't know if this will work on the console version. I haven't tried it since I don't have a family that I want to seperate just yet.

What you can do is make a new save file and then go to 'Options' by pressing the start button and then disable Story Mode.

Disabling the 'Age Progression' option stops your active sims (doesn't effect inactive sims) from growing. With aging on, you can extend there sim life as well by using the slider.

If it doesn't work then you have your final answer but it doesn't hurt to try it out.

Inactive = Sims you can't control (NPCs, Neighbors, etc) < should include seperated family sims but not sure
Active = Sims you can control (Current Family)

In the console version you can only have one player-controlled family apparently. The age progression and story progression works the same for the console though, although the aging options most certainly do affect any sim in town.
