Traveling as a Celebrity

Wasn't sure where to post this.
My Sim is a 5 star celebrity When he travels, the adventures board at the base camp is disabled. He has to wait for telephone calls to get any adventures, which are few and far between. If he misses a call, the opportunity  doesn't appaer anyway,  like it does in regular game.
Anybody else experience this? I guess there is no way around it?

This problem is more likely caused by the board being bugged, and not by the fact that your sim is a celebrity. Have you tried another travel location?

I tried Eygpt and the board works  It seems whenever I have "bugs" they occur in China !

Yeah, the adventure boards themselves are bugged.  I just recently got Late Night, and I've had this problem on and off.  China is usually the place mine happens,too, but it has happened in France before as well.

If you keep clicking on the board, eventually one will pop up.  Also, if it's bugged, it isn't necessarily bugged for every sim you take with you.

I hadn't encountered this bug before I'll have to see if it happens I'm taking a father and daughter to Egypt as soon as I get home tonight and he is a 5 star.

I had this bug before I even had Late Night.  It has nothing to do with celebrity status, although I do believe it is related to the patch that came with that EP.

I had no problems with the adventure board just the paparazzi shwoing up at my sims chosen fishing hole darn nosey locals!  At least they were locals and not paps all the way from bridgeport
