A Writer's Dream
« on: December 15, 2009, 11:12:44 PM »
Alright, I have just discovered the key to happiness, well, actually it only stops my sim from wanting to rip my head off. For the first time EVER I got my sim a coffee maker, and it is awsome! It completely removes negative energy related negative moodlets for 3 hours, then gives you a negative moodlet for 3 hours, -10. But it is sooo worth it to be able to (if you drink after every 3 hours) constantly work to try and finish a book! This object could in some ways be better than a bed. Just thought I would share this tidbit of information: if you want to be able to make your sim be able to have more hours in a day (of wake up and be in a better mood while on call in the medical career) a (one-thousand simolean) coffee maker is a must!  :o <- my sims face after drinking coffe, my writer was shocked!

I'm having deja vu right now. This sounds like something you or some one else plugged a few days ago. I'm going to go see if i can find it.

Yeah, after a quick look through a lot of the thread titles I'm drawing a blank. It must have been just a passing comment in some other thread that got OT. But, it's funny because the writer was saying the exact same stuff as you — touting the coffee maker. I have yet to try it myself. The last couple of Sims I've made I've really jumped on Meditative Trance Sleep. So, that's really helped with the productivity.

Let me tell you, I have worked throught the night with my "exhausted" Sim using the coffe maker and made a best seller, in a novel type that she was not specialized in, twice! Completely worth it, but my sim might start becoming addicted to caffeine...

I'll be curious to see what kind of figures you give me for the money-making thread. That Masterpiece I had Bruce Lee write for the walkthrough was the first one I had ever done with a Sim. It took forever. 6 days at least. I want to say the royalty payments were in the neighborhood of 10k. So, that's a total of 60k for that Masterpiece he wrote. But, I know he must have put in 50-60 hours to write it. I still think writing is more profitable per hour than painting.

You're not imagining things Metro, I remember this thread; it ended up being quite a long one!
