Evergreen Dynasty [Completed]

This will be my 2nd attempt at completing the Immortal Dynasty challenge.  No story this time around, not even going to pretend to try to write a story.    

In addition to the official rules, I have imposed a few personal choice rules... 
No traveling (to reduce the save file bloat).
No professions or self employment (all immortals must retire from a pension paying rabbit-hole career). 
The dynasty is taking place in Barnacle Bay (no supermaxing gardening due to lack of special seeds). 
The only change in Edit Town was to add the Film Studio (no late night clubs and no supermaxing mixology). 
All immortals must be female (lots of watermelons).
They all must be kleptomaniacs (however none can enter the Criminal career).

It feels like it right now anyways...  I am averaging 2 days per immortal, Jade is working on her career and opportunities, everything else is done (best friends are done the day before aging to elder so they don't die on me) and she still has 10 days until she becomes an adult.  Which means I probably won't get her to immortality until tomorrow.

Kelly is going to have a fun toddler/childhood since she can't start guitar-ing until she is a teen.  She is getting to just play and make friends with the family, which is rare in my games.

I am really happy as it seems to be going so much quicker and easier this time around.  I already have generation 6 in the house and generation 4 is about to immortalize.  I did have to remove the microwave and the food processor and put stuff on all the empty counters though as, even with a refrigerator full of leftovers, everyone still wanted to cook something new.  With several immortals now at level 4 in cooking it was time to put a stop to that.  My primary concern at the moment is generation 5's Guitar Star challenge.  She is getting opportunities on a regular basis, so far.  Hopefully that will keep up and she will get enough to complete that particular pain-in-the-neck challenge.

Of course you can, I don't mind at all.  And thanks!  Names are the hardest part for me to decide upon - too OCD so everything has to "match".    And of course I had to go find all the hex codes so their hair could be colored to match their name.  Funny how the game is giving almost all the immortals a green-shade for their favorite color without my help.  Only non-green so far is turquoise and that is pretty close.

Yeah Guitar Star is a pain for sure, but I have tried to keep Kelly away from everything else skill-wise so that is all she gets, that and Celebrity opportunities.  Of course, now she is working the randomizer has those to choose from so we'll see how it goes.  Before starting to work she actually had received 6 guitar opportunities so hopefully the other 4 will come before she becomes an elder.

Jade just immortalized and Lime is closing in on childhood and the beginning of her days chained to a laptop writing.  But for now, I have to go off and work on income taxes, so more playing either later tonight or tomorrow.

Good luck with yours.  Choosing a theme is always the hardest for me - sometimes I spend more time on a theme then actually playing.  And, just slightly OCD here but I can't start until I know all the names that I can or will be using for the entire challenge.

I have had a lot of fun with this attempt and the end is in sight.  Six generations are immortalized, the remaining two are in the house.  I have to work on taxes again Monday (in a few hours specifically) so I am targeting Tuesday/Wednesday to have generation 7 immortalized with generation 8 completed by Friday.  We'll see if my plans work out with reality.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel. 

Seven generations have been immortalized, the eighth generation is a young adult and is working steadily, and making good progress towards her reward.

I haven't taken many pictures during this dynasty but did snap a couple to share.

On weekends the immortals head out to explore the catacombs (generations 1-4 shown).


During the week they have dance parties at home (this shows generations 1-6 as immortals and generation 7 as an adult; all seven are waiting on generation 8 to become a young adult).


Lime write a masterpiece simply called Evergreen: The Story of Immortality.  Sadly this will be the only story written about this family although it is her highest paying publication at $15,139 per week.
