Who want to learn how to edit videos in The Sims 3?

After long consideration on how to do this I am willing to teach people a thing or two about video editing in The Sims 3. This will involve studying already existing videos on youtube, seperating the good from less good videos, getting familiar with the Sims 3 panning and zooming interface (in depth) and learning stuff that you also can use in video editing outside of The Sims 3.

You are going to create a Youtube account, which will get connected to the official Carl's Sims 3 Youtube account where you can upload the videos you've made with my upcoming tutorials.
I will start from the basics, and in time you will grow into more difficult and wonderfull stuff along the way. Also, for the ones who are interested, you will get a feeling in what it is to make 3D animation, as that will be a little part of the tutorials.

If you have fantasy, you can do a lot with editing, if you besides that also have the knowledge to work with editing software and making your imagination visible on the big screen than there is in fact nothing what can stop you from being great.

So, before that all can happen, who want to learn how to edit videos? Please leave your name below, and also make a note of what you are expacting from me that I can learn you.

I'd like to learn. I'll have to ask my dad for a Youtube account, but I think he'll say yes. I'd probably need help with basic things, since I've never used the video section in TS3 so far.

I have seen such great videos with music on youtube.  I know you make videos and you have to cut them and make them fit together.  I would like to learn some of the basics on making videos.  I find it quite fascinating myself.  Thanks Leto.

I'd like to learn a few things.  I don't have video editing software and don't plan to buy any, but I'd like to learn more about the Sims 3 video interface so that the videos I make in the game and put on Facebook for the site will look nice.

 Taking good videos can indeed be done with the information on how to take good screenshots. But it mostly depends on the situation, so you are still going to learn new things.

Leto, I already have a YouTube account but it is mostly to show off my kid's singing.  Will all that show up on the Carl and Pam's stuff?  I'd love to share her skills but don't think that would be appropriate for our forum as it is not Sims.

I'd love to learn how to do this but at the moment have no editing software whatsoever as I recently switched from Vista to W7.  What software would you recommend?  Gee, at the moment I can't even properly edit photos and screenies except for cropping.  Also, any instruction, at least for me, would have to be at the kindergarten level.  Putting it into a video would help a lot.

@Joria, if you don't mind I would like you to make a new account with the same name as you are using here: Joria. That way it will be more convenient for me and the other students to recognize each other.

@ Simstar: You don't have to worry about anything. The way I will connect all accounts together will be as save as possible. We are working in a closed system at first, so nobody else can see our videos. Except for the one that you want to show.
I will protect you all, especially the ones that are underaged, and that will be you for example. I don't want to scare you but on Youtube are a lot of people with bad intentions. And as my status is growing here I feel more responsible for the savety of others.
You all know me as a kind, helpfull, trustable and patient person, and that is me in real life.
BUT when it comes to your protection, and people that are willing to hurt you, well, for them I will be a total other person if I think I need to.
So Simstar, you don't have to be afraid of anything, in case your father would be wondering. All he want is to protect you, and so am I.

Thank you for letting me know. I have seen it and your first attemt to. I have to say I like this one. Like I've mentioned beneath your video (look for it on Youtube) I like your camera angles.

First of all, please count me in, Leto. I'm very interested. I know how to take realistic screenshots from the appropriate thread and dynasty/legacy stories, but I would like to know the video thing too. I'm not using that option frequently in TS3.
And also, Samoht, your video is magnificent, see my comment in YouTube and in the Hannah Longing thread. I must ask where you took the music from. It's so catchy and groovy. 

P.S. I have an account on YouTube with the same name I have here, but I've lied about my age to see my favorite singer's new video (Rihanna's S&M video is banned for under 18). Lol, I know that's funny.  Do you mind me using it for other purposes as well (i.e. music, etc.)?
