Oh, a poll!   :o  Voted for Sunset Valley!  :D  Riverview is pretty, but downtown has an odd feel (to me)  :-\ !  Maybe if it was actually a functional farm town, it might be more interesting to play.  8)

No kidding! Maybe they'll add farm animals in an ep...

The picture of the cow really made me laugh...  The first time I saw it in-game, I was fooled for a sec.

Hey, maybe it is an "easter egg"?   8)

I'm hoping it is a clue for a future EP. You know, there is a tomb type place in SV near Simhenge, maybe that was a clue for WA, but nobody knows except for EA.

Speaking of the tomb; I'm actually interested in the boarded off mining caves that are in SV, Riverview, and I saw one in WA-Egypt.  I wonder if they will open them up somehow, so we can see WHO those glowing eyes belong to?  I wonder...

Lol, a llama? I think it's either a bear or a bat because of the way the eyes look depending on the angle you look at them.

I did a legacy family in Riverview, sort of by accident.  I just liked the character I started with and kept going.

I noticed that the town became depopulated after awhile -- after the original Riverview inhabitants died out, they were never replaced by the game.  I had to keep creating new families and placing them in the empty houses.   This was before WA and the recent patches, BTW.

I haven't noticed this problem in Sunset Valley.  It spawns new Sims on a regular basis.  I also enjoy seeing the protests at SV's City Hall (No Llamas!), which don't occur at Riverview's City Hall.  So it's Sunset Valley for me.

I like Riverview if only because I like collecting and all the items are easier to find.  They're just not scattered nearly to the extent that you see in Sunset Valley.

Also, I totally agree with the comment about the community garden.  Likewise, what about the fishery?  Catch almost everything in one location!

I don't know about the whole "beautiful lot" thing, but I always make my Sims capable (eventually) of making ambrosia, so they have an awesome moodlet for a whole week, and give them beautifully decorated homes with good stereos for constant mood boosts.  So I don't worry about how pretty the lot is.  I do wonder how I'm not getting a beautiful view from living next to a waterfall, though.

Alright, that's it! I have come to an official conclusion that Riverview is awful. I am just depressed there, I can't find squat  :'(. Furthermore, the town is just in general... kinda bad, I dont know what it is! I was doing my nectar making family there, but I had to stop because I cannot play under the layout of Riverview. And I miss the beaches...

what can't you find?

i've done so much running around RV i can probably tell you where any lying-on-the-ground-waiting-to-be-picked-up-by-a-lucky-sim type stuff is without having to think too hard about it...
