I particularly dislike unmodified riverview for photographers, two of the buildings don't register as what they are for their particular photographs (spa & school), and there is neither big park or beach, so no photos for those either  :'(
(note, the beach and park can be created through edit town, the spa and school can be replaced or one can use a mod to make the game recognize them, there's one that also fixes the theatre & dropa stone photos, so that's what i use)
Guitarists have it harder too i think, tho i haven't played one in riverview to see if i could find a way around the lack of crowds.

It's awesome for fishing and great for gardeners, and quite nice for collectors since everything is less spread. Not too bad for raising kids either, with several cheap lots quite near the school, one of them and my particular favorite is less than 3 blocks away from school, gym, library & assorted central buildings, and it's less than a block away from the communal garden.
I haven't looked at which lots have beautiful vista and which don't, i know the expensive 14k one does, but dunno about the others.

From what I've been able to see, the only lots in Riverview that have a view are the expensive ones and all but the empty lot start out inhabited.  The best view is the haunted mansion on the other side of town from the hilltop neighborhood.  There is also a nice view from the lot all the way off to the side of town, on a hill near two other large residences.  (Sorry, can't remember names/addresses)
