Sunset VS Riverview, Which Ones Best?
« on: December 15, 2009, 09:24:59 PM »
Helloooooo!  ;D

Some people here have Sunset Valley as their favourite town and others Riverview. I want to know which ones best so i can have the most awesome town in the universe. Ive heard Riverview is more like the country, filled with farms. This would be great for garderning lovers, but im not really one of those people. I also heard its more flat and i like the ground to be completly random and lumpy. (lumpy is a funny word).

Sunset Valley has an awesome beach, is Riverviews just as long. Ive seen pictures of Riverview and its got like a diamond shape in the middle surrounded by a lake with bridges to other places.

So which ones YOUR favourite? Whether you've had both towns or just one. :)  :D   :D                      :D

I like Sunset Valley and it's beaches.  I guess I'm just a City girl, The Country/Riverview is pretty, but just a little small for me.  Maybe if they had actual farms with animals and stuff it might be more fun! ;)

I don't think there's any lot in Riverview that matches 477 Sunnyside Blvd in Sunset Valley for the Beautiful Vista moodlet. I'm not certain on that. But, I'm not crazy about the look of Riverview anyway. I've always been a city boy.

I strongly agree! I would love there to be a expansion pack for a zoo or something, but not just a zoo you can keep the animals, maybe a entire carnival with hundreds of new things for your sims and their lives. I hope they bring out a new expansion soon.

Well a petting zoo would be nice, then you could have bunnie, goats and some ponies for the kids to feed and play with...gee wouldn't it be nice if the kids could get pony rides!  :)

I played in Riverview enough to be familiar with it so I can help our visitors, but I don't particularly like it.  It just has a dull feeling to it or something.  And it does have a lot of country feel, too.  The designs of the houses are very country for the most part.  I like modern, contemporary designs.  So, Sunset Valley is the place for me!

I prefer Sunset Valley but I wish there was an equivalent to the community garden that you get in Riverview, it's a great way to start a gardener sim.

The other problem is that I'm getting bored on looking at Sunset Valley but can't find a good starter plot in Riverview.  I like the 6800 plot that gives a 'beautiful vista' moodlet (cannot remember the address) but can't find a equivalent in Riverview.   :(

Last night, Pam and I were PMing about upcoming LTW articles and I decided to tackle the Bottomless Nectar Cellar. So, going against my "city boy" instincts, I'm totally all over Riverview for the couple that I'm creating for that piece. A nice, big country estate for their growing nectar-making empire just seems a natural fit.

I agree. It's no specific thing, it just feels like they haven't done as much work on it as with Sunset Valley. :-\

Welcome to the forum. I agree with you and others in saying I prefer Sunset Valley. I especially agree that Riverview just feels bland and lifeless compared to the default town.
