Unlucky Chef: This Challenge is on Fire!

The team's original idea was to have everyone dive into the Unlucky Chef Scenario. Unfortunately, after testing, it's clear that Scenario is bugged (almost impossible to start fires), so we're hosing you down with Plan B. Do your research, and you can get fires started. Will you make progress toward becoming a Celebrity Chef? Or will you go down in flames?


Challenge Rules

• Remember, the General Rules apply to all Tournament challenges. Exceptions may be noted below.
• Create 1 Young Adult Sim — Human. No changing life states. You may not choose any Food Aspirations for the entirety of the challenge. Changing Aspirations during gameplay is allowed.
• Move your Sim to any lot/house/apartment of your choice.
• You may not add to your household.
• Join the Culinary Career - the Mixology Branch is banned.
• The Wishing Well and Celestial Crystal Crown are banned.
• If your Sim dies it is ok, simply calculate your score.
• Clubs are banned.
• Changing lot traits and lot types is banned.
• Pause your game on Sunday Week 2 Day 1 at 8:00 AM.

Scoring

Culinary Career Levels + Cooking Fires - Deaths.
200 Points for every Culinary Career Level Reached
50 Points for every Cooking Fire
Subtract 200 points if your Sim dies

UER Multiplier (Unique Excellent Recipes): Start with a multiplier of 1.00 and add 0.10 for every Unique Excellent Recipe Made

Total: Add Career, Cooking Fires, and Death; multiply by UER
 
Example #1: You have paused your game on Sunday Week 2 Day 1 at 8:00 AM. Your aspiring chef reached Level 6 of the Culinary Career - Chef Branch, survived 4 Cooking Fires, and made 17 Excellent Unique Recipes.

Career Level 6 x 200 = 1200
4 Cooking Fires x 50 = 200
Career Levels + Cooking Fires = 1400
UER = 1.00 + (17 x 0.10) = 1.00 + 1.70 = 2.70

1400 x 2.70 = 3780

Example #2: Your Sim died on Wednesday Week 1 Day 4 at 7:30 AM. Before his demise, your aspiring chef reached Level 3 of the Culinary Career, survived 2 Cooking Fires & perished in his 3rd Cooking Fire, and made 5 Excellent Unique Recipes.

Career Level 3 x 200 = 600
3 Cooking Fires x 50 = 150
Died = -200
Career Levels + Cooking Fires - Death = 600 + 150 - 200 = 550
UER = 1.00 + (5 x 0.10) = 1.00 + 0.50 = 1.50

550 x 1.50 = 825

Ch-Ch-Changes
The team does not want to edit and make changes to the ruleset once this event goes live, but we may have to. If an exploit is brought to our attention or we discover something else we may ask affected players to redo their effort.

I am proud of you, too! Closing this event and having zero participants get any fires would have been weird. And unless you feel how you got the fire is questionable, no need for the team to weigh in. A cooking fire needs to result from cooking a recipe. That's the takeaway I can offer everyone.

Nice challenge. My Chef reached level 4 culinary career and had 1 cooking fire.
He made 25 excellent unique recipes.

4 x 200 = 800; 800 + 50 = 850
multiplier 1.00 + (25 x .10) = 3.5
850 x 3.5 = 2975 points.
