I loved having all the Teens in the house. Mind you, I used to love it when our girls filled the house with their Teen friends. So much life and energy, hopes and dreams.
These Teens all got Scouting Aptitude but most of them only got Responsible and no other traits. They can't all stay in the house, of course but we're settled for now...

It is indeed Rohan Elderberry. Bear and Aspen met him and Yuki Behr at Prom. I was hoping Kaori might click with another Teen... But Cupids Corner thinks Paolo is a good match...who am I to argue?

Bear: You can laugh all you like but wearing a Festival costume gets me wearing my last Incognito costume helmet. Still, it was worth it. Another new Simmie for my collection. I’ve completed it officially but there’re still 2 gold edition ones that I want.



Kiyoshi: Morgan doesn’t have to come with us. Kaori says she’s not really at our level. She really struggled on that first climb.
Bear: She’s good enough and she’s coming with us. She was only last because there are only 3 routes up and we all started first.



Kaori: Hey, wait for me!
Kiyoshi: No fear. I don’t want to be the last one up in a group that includes Morgan. No good for my rep!
Morgan: Hey!

I’m not sure I’ve ever done the Salary Person career. Morgan’s daily tasks are usually complete “semi-important files”. It doesn’t sound very affirming. She has received a Crooner trait through it, which is quite random.

Neither Bear nor Morgan could click on the Ice Cave as it appeared blocked. They could, however, click on each other and “Try for a Baby” in the ice cave. Phew. This requirement for Bear’s generation was one of the reasons I chose this challenge – such fun!

Download Mt Komorebi Peak by Dee_Builds – a lovely bunk-bed hostel with an outdoor seating area plus the all-important loo on which to take a pregnancy test. You can only edit this mountain-top lot if you have a successful climb. Full disclosure – I’d added a shower just in case the ice-cave woohoo had not been productive but it wasn’t necessary.

Japanese corporate culture involves a lot of hanging out with coworkers/superiors after work, usually for drinking, but karaoke also plays a big part.
So good singing skills would a great boon for a corporate warrior.

Aspen is also still in the house, the bedrooms of which have been adjusted for 2 doubles and a single for Marcus. It is only temporary,  though.

I wanted Aspen to complete her 75 hours of music to get the Musical Genius aspiration. Also, with 7 Teens goofing off to the slopes at every opportunity and Marcus only holding down a job for a week at a time, household funds were stretched and need rebuilding. We've only just generated a few perfect dragonfruit bushes.

I'm sticking to my legacy rules that entrants and exeuants bring/take their percentage of funds. Kiyoshi & Greta took a quarter of the ~$80. Kaori then took a 6th of the remainder. Both of those moved in with other households. I'd like Sidney & Aspen to find a nice house somewhere. Maybe somewhere near gen 9's destination...

Morgan will need Logic and Charisma for her Supervisor branch of the Salaryperson's career. It would have been Logic & Programming for the Specialist branch but that seemed to have longer hours.

Marcus enjoys his Odd Jobs and we don’t have to keep chopping and changing careers with his Non-Committal whims. They are quite varied but it’s difficult to tell which ones will be rabbit holes and which will need active participation. One had him actively diving for treasure!

Bear needed to encounter and survive 3 wild life attacks for his aspiration. He now just needs to hit the slopes in bad weather to complete it.

I had in my notes that Bear would need 3+ children but I think that was when I had planned it earlier in this challenge. 2 children will be plenty, I think…

Bear is already so close to completing all his requirements, but Mary is still too young to start on her heir requirements, lol.

I laughed when you declared Mary and Prue's eye color when they were still newborns. You must have great vision (unlike myself).
You've played several generations with 4+ children so a 4-sim family will be a relaxing change!
Watch you add a bunch more difficult requirements because "only playing 4 sims is too easy." LOL!

Notes
The Salaryperson career is relentless. Long hours 5 days a week and Morgan often comes home on the verge of a breakdown. I got her the Responsible trait on aging to a YA so she automatically works hard. I’m switching it to “socialise” or “normal” when I remember. Also, the Responsible trait doesn’t seem to auto-complete her daily task so she currently has to “host phone conference” as well.

The weather on Mt Komorebi has been lovely every day. No sign of ice or blizzard. Great for Bear’s snowboarding videos but not so great for completing his aspiration! Also, the gold Mayor Whiskers Simmie is proving very elusive. Bear buys about 6 every day!

I did wonder if I'd disabled blizzards so, yes, I did go and check. We've got 2 more weeks of autumn and then winter should definitely give us some bad weather.

I've had a few Townies letting my household know that they've started dating. But it was a shock when Dominic phoned to say that he and Moira broke up. I haven't checked to see if they're still living together. I must do that and let you know.

Whilst I'm a big fan of Morgans colouring, we started with violet eyes and it would be nice to have them to the end... Nothing's decided yet, though.

Mary: I’ve never seen you in your sleepwear, Papa Marcus.
Marcus: I got a bit over tired on the jogging machine so Watcher sent me in for a nap.

Mary: When I grow up, I’m going to have the perfect house and the perfect family, filled with children and love! Not like Granny and Grandad Fyres. They fight all the time now.

Mary: After Prue’s party at the celebration centre, we stomped around in the water park for a bit and then came over to Oasis Springs park for a bit of fishing.

Mary: I wonder what we’ll make with them.

Marcus: Bear’s brought me up here so he can finish his Snowboarding video. I thought I’d have a go too. It’s been a while since I actually hit the slopes. Tomorrow’s the Festival of Snow. The girls are really excited about meeting Yamachan.



Mary: Daddy says to ask for a capsule.
Yamachan: I know he wants the Gold Mayor Whiskers but my capsules are only for kids today, not adults.
Mary: He’s a bit obsessed with them. He’s got me and Prue searching for Voidcritters too!



Morgan: It was Bear’s birthday after the Festival so we went to Chez Llama. Watcher said she should have sorted us out a better birthday venue but we got a Gold event anyway. Even though we only had cake. You can see Mary making friends with Kaori in the back ground. Prue made friends with Founder Dawn too. They’re both Social Butterflies now. Oh, come on everyone, sing….

Prue caught Mary up a little bit. Mary took ages to skill up to max all 5 toddler skills so I got Bear on crystal crafting. Their perfect crystal tree (with the help of the Gift of Sulani) produced a Plumbite crystal in its third harvest. Having a charged Plumbite crystal by anyone keeps their needs fully charged – wonderful for Infant and Toddler skilling.



I have usually bought the Friendly Reward Trait for my families to ease friendships. But those easily-formed friendships do not count for Social Butterfly. Mary and Prue made their 3 child and 2 adult friends the long way and Social Butterfly ticked them off as soon as they became friends. I need to remember to do that in the future, only getting the Reward Trait after getting the Aspiration.

This challenge suggested that the Adrenaline Junkie should get their children to complete the Voidcritter challenge, presumably because of the Voidcritter Hunt at the Festival of Youth. You may remember that my Narcissistic Mother - Cassia has already completed that collection but we'll go for it again. Mary and Prue have already made a start, hunting in bins.

Goodness knows what it’s like in the Fyres household - yes, Moira and Dominic still share a house with Siobhan. Part of me wants Marcus to go on Cupid’s Corner to see if it matches him with Moira but part of me really doesn’t want to, lol!

Bear: I haven’t looked at the requirements for Gen 9. Maybe you should talk to Watcher about that directly.



Mary: So you see, I need to find more Voidcritter cards for Daddy so he can finish.
Yamachan: There’s only virtual Voidcritters in this hunt. Sorry about that.



Watcher: What did you do?
Bear: I got really mad that it wouldn’t give me my Simmie so I Zip Zapped it!
Watcher: And now you need to fix it.
Bear: I still didn’t get my Simmie!

Bear: I was pleased when I saw you were available. You do still have your insect stuff?

Bear: Growing up fast. They’ll be Teens before you know it.

Morgan: I threw an excellent Sleepover for the girls, if I do say so myself. Mary, Loving Outdoors as she does, set her sleeping bag outside. Bear slept on the sofa and Marcus had the good sense to go to bed properly. Me? I joined in the sleeping bag “fun” and boy, did I feel it in the morning!



Prue: Can I go and change out of my party frock?
Bear: If you must.
Mary: I’ve got one!
Bear: Is it a new one?
Mary: No. Shall I go and order some online?
Prue: You do know we can get them from the bits and bobbles machine, next to the simmies ones over the road?
Bear: So you don’t need to be children to get the cards?
Mary: Nope!
Bear: Well, don’t I look foolish for making you search the bin for me!



Moira: It’s so lovely to be included in all your parties.
Founder Dawn: Yes indeed. Although the birthdays seem to roll round very quickly.
Bear: Mary’s got all the possible Aspirations and Prue isn’t missing many. It seemed silly to wait the few days with them kicking their heels.



Prue: Ow, Ow, Ow!
Watcher: Oh – I didn’t think you’d be jogging near any insects. You’d better get some repellent stuff.



Mary: Prue’s got a job as a Life Guard because she says she can check out the other Teens in their swimsuits. Me? I’m in the Fast Food Service. Mind you, calling it “food” is a bit of a stretch. Ultra-Processed, high in calories and leaves you wanting more. I don’t know why I need to skill up in Cooking. Skilling up in chemistry would be more helpful!



Mary: This is better! The processor speeds up cooking no end! And this really is food! Not some over-priced junk. It’ll be good to celebrate getting that last Voidcritter card from the machine over the way. I can’t believe Dad waited all this time before realising they were over there.



Bear: The last day of Autumn and it looks Fair on the mountain. It’ll be a great day to record a snowboarding video.
Watcher: Drat!



Mary: So you and I both want to max our Logic, Mum!
Morgan: Me first. I’ve got to level 10 in my career but would you believe there’s another level?
Bear: You’re doing great, Morgan. I’m so proud of you.
Morgan: Oh, I nearly forgot. Watcher had me go and shake that machine – Marcus got over-tired on the treadmill again. Here’s the capsule I retrieved.



Bear: Amazing, Morgan! It’s a golden Mayor Whiskers! Finally!



Mary: We’ve just got home from Prom. Zayden Ernest asked me as friends. He’s a Perfectionist Bookworm. Bryan Moon asked Prue as friends. He’s Erratic and Squeamish. None of us are dating or anything like that, although Prue likes to flirt if she can.



Mary: Mum’s age bar was bubbling when we got home. I’m so glad I’d got some prepped dough in the fridge. It took no time to whip up a cake for her. It’s Winter tomorrow. I wonder if we’ll get snow…

I wish I'd realised before that you could get Voidcritter cards from the bits and bobbles machine. Ordering them online line was painstaking and you could only buy a pack of five each time.

Mary is announced as the next heir. As soon as Bear gets some bad-weather snowboarding in, she'll be taking the reins.
