Daisy and Cassia are both lovely, with either of them making great heirs. However...
How fun that the Makeys and Costas both ended up with Gen3 heirs who share brown hair and violet eyes.
Goofball, eh? The temptation to check my spreadsheet is nearly overwhelming, but I shall wait and see how Cassia's life unfold!

How clever of Jade to wait until the twins became children to get pregnant again.
With the Costas, toddler Thyme ended up that annoying "Where's My Attention" thing but it mysteriously vanished as soon as he aged up to a child.
Jade and Ridge won't be dealing with that at all!

So glad that Jade finally got her Fang Flower!
Congrats to Jade on completing her Excellent Flowers/Herbs/Ingredients collection!
Hmmm, Friends of the Animals...another pet?

Yes - another pet will be needed. I'm not sure if you can be Companions with a non-household pet but it is the easiest way.

Another busy household - I don't seem able to resist them! Lol. The Family-Oriented trait seems like a helpful one - to cement family bonds and build them up - but the constantly wanting more children is definitely a down-side. Still - it will play into my narrative...we're definitely doing different Gen 3's btw - but you knew that already

Oooh, "it will play into my narravite"...what does that say for Cassia's generation?
As for busy households, my Mistura simverse was so full of Misturas, too full! So I'd resolved to have fewer Costa children each gneration.
So far, I've failed miserably on that front, lol. I do love seeing how the genetics play out.

Previously: The twins aged into Toddlers and then into Children so Jade and Ridge decided it was time to make more babies. Daisy was concerned about getting younger siblings but Cassia didn’t think it would change a thing.

Bear: Who are you? And what are you doing in my litter room
Lady: My name’s Lady. Your human said we dogs could all hang out here.
Bear: I don’t think so!
Lady: Well she did. What’s it like, having a human? I’m a stray.
Bear: She’s my human. Clear off!



Jade: Isn’t she the sweetest thing? I’m going to call her Lark, because I like nature names and it’s similar to Lady.
Cassia: Er – won’t we have enough to do without an extra mouth to feed?
Bear: Exactly!
LadyLark: Oh Yes!
Jade: You and Daisy can help out. It will be good for you – taking on extra responsibility.
Cassia: OK – I guess.



Daisy: It’s our first ever day of school.
Cassia: I didn’t think we were going to get out of there!
Daisy: We got the food bowls filled and cleared up the litter tray.
Cassia: I really hope Lark learns to do her business outside soon. That smell!
Daisy: Too right! Mind you, if you didn’t keep jumping in the bin every day, you’d be a bit cleaner!

Ridge: We do have the Fertile lot trait still.
Daisy: Can’t we turn that off? Twins doesn’t sound like a good idea.
Jade: At least it won’t be triplets.
Daisy: Triplets!
Jade: No room – not with Lark now.

Cassia: Thanks for mentoring me, Analyn, while Mum’s at the hospital.

Notes
Ridge’s brush with death reset his age to the beginning of young adulthood and Jade missed 3 days of pregnancy aging.

Cassia and Daisy were both pleased with the arrival of the twins. And, although it was Cassia who got tense about the crying, it’s only Daisy that is missing her parents attention and especially resentful towards her mother.

The Cowplant has nearly served it’s purpose. We just need Essence of Anger to complete that part of the potions & lotions collection.
I’d not been examining the piles of feathers that Bear has been pulling out of the party bush (thanks to Glazey Lady for the prompt). Opening them up has given Jade 11 of the 12 feather collection.
All Jade’s plants are now at least Magnificent and 23 of them are Perfect. She and the children use their Gift of Sulani each day so they should be all Perfect in less than 2 weeks.
Now she’s got 29 of the 39 magical tomes, duplicates from searching and the shop are more likely. Currently she’s averaging about 1 new one a day and she visits the HQ most days.

 in all the busyness, I forgot to mention that Jade maxed her Florist career and has quit to spend more time with the family.

For the Friend of the Animals Aspiration - making friends with 6 more animals and Feeling the Love with 6 more will take some concentration. I hope the children won’t feel too neglected!

The challenges certainly fell off once Jade got to Virtuoso level. She's just hard that one from Hill. You're right, she's not doing as much magic but, you remember Dawn got spammed loads and she was doing none at all..

Michael's doing a bit of tome searching but the children can't at all. Once they're Teens I'll definitely get them on the job! Thanks for confirming the 6am shop refresh. I'd wondered if if might be 24hrs from last visit.

The next gen will be very small compared to this one - I can't wait! Poor Erica and Flax are not getting much attention at all - just the basics. Flax would have been a strong contender for Gen 3 heir, with red hair and violet eyes. But a female heir with mean less jiggery-pokery to fit the requirements.

The collections! I didn't realize how hard it would be to get all those cow essences! Just Anger left but my Sims are generally so happy they never get full-on angry - maybe one buff amongst others. Still, the Teen time can be good(!) for that?

Haha, I just playtested getting an Essence of Anger using my least favorite Costa and...you're right!
I wonder if it would be easier to taunt a hot-headed NPC (who's fenced in with a cowplant and getting hungry) than to risk the loyal Ridge?
I was using cheats to playtest and my Sim's Very Angry moodlet was over-ridden by I Believe in Me and Trusting the Universe--it was rather annoying.

Bear is not at all impressed with the addition of Lark but he'll get used to it.

The feathers - appearing from the party bush - yes, very handy. I'd decided not to bother with that collection but all of a sudden realised that I'd got all but one! Of course, now I'm going for it, that last feather will never appear!

Cassia's Toy Review stream was very clever.
I'd forgotten about searching the trash cans for Void Critter cards - I haven't played with that for a long time . . . maybe my next gen kids will want to . . .
Such a busy household - I'm impressed with how calm Jade is in the midst of all the noise and wanting.
It does seem a bit . . . intrusive . . . having the bot watching your every move, but it's kind of fun too.
Oh, this Cowplant's a feisty one! I'm sure Jade will get what she needs in the end

Such chaos in the current Makey household! The children are all very lovely!
Cassia will make a lovely heir. And it thrills me to see that she has the button nose of Hikaru (Gen11 Mistura spouse).
I believe both Dawn and Jade got that nose. (Or did that pass down from a different Makey?)


Haha, Cassia was quite young when she acquired her own drone, streaming her daily life for all to see.
Wow, 4,000 streamers already while she was cloudgazing?

Your stats mention that Erica has the new Practice Makes Perfect trait but her portrait lists Perfectionist.
In my game, I've seen one NPC showing up with that new trait (like Thyme's RI, Avani) but it's unavailable to me in CAS yet.
Please let us know what you think of that trait. I
 heard in a YT vid that skill gain can increase up to 180% if a skill in the same skill family is practiced daily.

Glazey mentioned not having to go to the dog park for feathers, but my fave spot is Ohan'ali Beach in Sulani.
There's a flock of seagulls that repeatedly spawn in shortish intervals between Ohan'ali Beach and the Town Plaza.
Just dropping that here in case the family decides they want to swim and frolic somewhere warm...

How frustrating that the girl's mood changed from Angry to Confident just as the cowplant consumed her!!!
Jade is quite close now and your next heir, Cassia, is a teen.

Cassia's Toy Review stream was very clever.
I'd forgotten about searching the trash cans for Void Critter cards - I haven't played with that for a long time . . . maybe my next gen kids will want to . . .
Such a busy household - I'm impressed with how calm Jade is in the midst of all the noise and wanting.
It does seem a bit . . . intrusive . . . having the bot watching your every move, but it's kind of fun too.

Yes - only children can search the trash cans - and logs - for toys and they get the cards about 50% of the time. I've never done that collection before so I'm hoping it's not too hard. I know you can buy them on the computers too.

Such chaos in the current Makey household! The children are all very lovely!
Cassia will make a lovely heir. And it thrills me to see that she has the button nose of Hikaru (Gen11 Mistura spouse).
I believe both Dawn and Jade got that nose. (Or did that pass down from a different Makey?)


Haha, Cassia was quite young when she acquired her own drone, streaming her daily life for all to see.
Wow, 4,000 streamers already while she was cloudgazing?

Your stats mention that Erica has the new Practice Makes Perfect trait but her portrait lists Perfectionist.
In my game, I've seen one NPC showing up with that new trait (like Thyme's RI, Avani) but it's unavailable to me in CAS yet.
Please let us know what you think of that trait. I
 heard in a YT vid that skill gain can increase up to 180% if a skill in the same skill family is practiced daily.

Glazey mentioned not having to go to the dog park for feathers, but my fave spot is Ohan'ali Beach in Sulani.
There's a flock of seagulls that repeatedly spawn in shortish intervals between Ohan'ali Beach and the Town Plaza.
Just dropping that here in case the family decides they want to swim and frolic somewhere warm...

How frustrating that the girl's mood changed from Angry to Confident just as the cowplant consumed her!!!

Ah - that's where the cute nose comes from! It's quite quirky but I like it.

Erica rolled Perfectionist but I thought I'd try Practise Makes Perfect. I forgot about that when I put together the profile pics. I haven't noticed much difference. She's taken longer than Flax to max Thinking and she can have Soothing Soaks in the bath. I haven't noticed anything else so far.
Flax actually rolled Generous but I couldn't see it available for a Child Trait so I gave him Good instead.

Makey MishMash Legacy 2.8: Girls & Boys


Previously: Our Gen 3 heir Cassia took up vlogging; both Cassia and Daisy learnt to ride their bikes; Jade got all Perfect flower and potion ingredient plants; Cassia and Daisy became Teens; Erica and Flax became Children and the family welcomed the New Year in.

Flax: It’s a bit yucky in the bin, but Cassia says – if we give her any Voidcritter packs – she’ll let us have any swaps and all the toys we find.
Erica: Why don’t we just keep everything we find?
Flax: She’s promised to buy us dessert when we go out for Mum’s birthday!



Madeline: It’s nice to meet you too, Cassia, here at the Magical HQ, but why is your Watcher wasting a photo shot on me?
Cassia: Beats me, Aunt Madeline! After all, my Mum – your big sister – has nearly finished her requirements. All photos should be about me now!
Madeline: Oh, so it’s still my generation!
Cassia: Not for much longer, if I can help it. Only as long as those annoying siblings of mine can find Voidcritter cards for me!



Cassia: Mum’s really winding up Isumi – the new Sage of Practical Magic. I hope she doesn’t make her too angry to train me.
Daisy: Watcher was so pleased that she’s a Hot Head and that it’s Prank Day today. Mum still wearing her clown costume from our birthday party is just the icing on the cake.
Cassia: Speaking of cake, the cowplant has just put it’s cake out.
Daisy: Yes. It looks so tasty….



Jade: Thank you, Cowplant. That completes the set.
Cowplant: Hm. I guess it’s into the inventory for me now!
Jade: No. You’ve really helped me out, finally. You can stay out. I’ll keep feeding you, but no more cake!

Cassia: Hey folks! This is my business headshot for my side hustle. I know it’s not very business-like. But I am a Goofball. I can’t be serious too much. Take me or leave me. But I know you’ll take me – I’m awesome!



Daisy: Watcher decided to celebrate Easter so we all hunted for eggs round the house. Mum and Cassia even fought the Easter Bunny for eggs because none of us could ask him for them! Cassia was collecting them and only needed one more when Watcher told us to give up and all come to the Magical HQ to look for Tomes. We found 4 new ones this week, so that’s just 1 left that Mum wants. The surprising thing though was that, with all the bookshelves, sofas and counters, there were hundreds of new places to look for eggs. Erica and Flax found the last one before Cassia sent them off to fish, to keep them out of trouble. She doesn’t really like them, but says they have their uses.



Cassia: Happy Birthday, Mum!

Ridge: I can’t believe I’m your Toyboy!
Jade: Only because you died and came back to me, my darling. You’ll catch me up soon enough. Maybe I’ll take a Youth Potion when you do!

Flax: Hey! We’d have got Mum’s birthday cake anyway!
Erica: No fair! We found all those cards for you.
Cassia: I gave you the swaps back. And you’ve still not traded them up for anything useful! Hey, is that a Meduso Lovin you got in your cracker?
Flax: Maybe…
Cassia: Hand it over. You know I’m the Heir and I’m collecting those.
Flax: Mum!

Cassia: But I am, Mum! You know I am! 6 crackers for your birthday and only one with a new plushie!



Cassia: Watcher thinks you’ll be interested in my male High School friends. I’m not sure why but here’s a run down:
Fabian is a Goofball, Child of the Village and has dark hair and green eyes;
Jun is Gloomy and Self-Absorbed (like me!) and has blonde hair and hazel eyes;
Duy is an Unflirty Foodie and has black hair and brown eyes. He asked me to the Prom as friends.
They are all Spellcasters.
Tommy is a Gloomy, Recycle Disciple with brown hair and brown eyes;
Darrel is a Self-Assured, Creative with black hair and brown eyes (Watcher was very happy that I got a crush on him);
Joey is an Animal Enthusiast Child of the Islands with black hair and brown eyes (Watcher thought he could make Daisy very happy)



Cassia: Mum just needs one more magical tome which we’re all helping with once a day. Well all of us except the kids. At least they can be helpful looking for my cards. Anyway, it might as well be my generation now – it’s only a technicality. Watcher says, if that’s the case, there’s no reason to not start my regular requirements. So, I posed for the Paparazzi. Yes – I’m a 2-star celeb now. And any time the Paparazzi show up, I need to interact with them. That’s not a big requirement. After all, posing for pictures is fun!



Cassia: I also hosted a Meet & Greet. My fans are adorable and I’m more than happy to sign autographs for them. Yes, I only invited my Teen male friends, but Mum wanted to meet them. This is me signing for Jasper Spencer-Kim. He’s a Party-Animal, Geek with black hair and black eyes and a tendency to wear crazy make-up. Oh yes, that’s Darrell in the background. Isn’t he cute?



Cassia: Prom night and I met Duy there. You remember - he invited me as friends. Anyway, he left early (rude!) which gave me a chance to meet this new guy. He’s Hayes Moon. You know! That family! He lives in Del Sol Valley in a Celebrity house. Wow! He’s got blonde hair and green eyes and is an Adventurous, Child of the Ocean. But let's focus on the really important things - he's famous. Or at least his family is!



Daisy: I got crowned Prom Queen and Cassia was Prom Jester. She’s thrilled. So appropriate for a Goofball. My crush, Joey, was not there which was a shame.



Cassia: Oh yes – that’s Darrell in the background. He waited until Prom to tell me that he was only interested in guys! I got over that crush, pretty smartish! Meanwhile, I’m slow dancing with Hayes, listening to his stories about living the celebrity life. It sounds like heaven!



Daisy: Cassia got invited to the after party so she invited me and her new friend Hayes along. She also invited Joey, my crush, along for me. Shame that he’s only interested in guys too. Me and Cassia are clearly not very aware of other people’s natures! Maybe we should set Joey up with Darrell. They’re both nice guys. Just not for us!
So, I’m all dressed up and no romance to speak of. I went home fairly quickly. Cassia stayed later with Hayes. She couldn’t get enough of his fame stories.

Notes
Darrel’s traits were spot on for my Gen 3 spouse. If he’d had different hair/eye colouring, I’d have considered overriding his given preferences.

Cassia’s generation challenge title will be fully revealed on her Young Adult birthday. She has already met the qualifications to age up early (A in school, Llamacorn Scout) but she’ll hold fire for now.

Both Erica and Flax have 6 days to their birthday. After that, they usefulness to Cassia will be over and she’ll be itching to move out. Let’s hope the family find that final magical tome!
